I'm thinking about trying to do the nerdy family beach portraits on our trip over Labor Day. Does anybody know a good, reasonably priced photographer?

There is a new photography studio in a storefront right across the harbour near the resort. It is next to the place that sells Italian Ice near the concert shell.

They have lots of family photos exhibited as examples of their work - beach photos, portrait work. They opened a few months ago but I don't know anything about cost.

I'll check out the name later and add it to this thread.

Right next to "Frosty's Italian Ice" near the concert shell where Shannon Tanner performs is "Legacy Design - Photographers". They have a studio there, but will take family photos in a variety of settings.

Thanks for the info, WebmasterDoc! I will be there in October. I'm just trying to figure out how to convince my family to get their pictures taken on vacation (something they HATE to do any day of the year)!

When in October? DW and I will be at HHI for the first time 10/25-10/29/11.

We will be there the first week of October. I've heard the weather is great in October and there are fewer crowds. We have only been in the summer, but we thought we'd try October over our Fall Break (we are both teachers). Have fun on your trip! You will fall in LOVE with HHI!!!

One more tip. To make this easier on the family it's best to get dressed for dinner and then meet at the beach when the sun is low.
Take a few shots and then off to eat.
Shouldn't be that painful.
