I have considered going to VB or HH this summer with my DD 15. I haven't been to either one and wanted to hear from those who have and that were able to provide some insight. Which one would you recommend for teen activities; as well as, family activities? Any pros or cons of either resorts? I am also considering the Arizona Biltmore resort and spa under the concierge collection. We used some of our points for the 1st time at SSR this year and loved it. Now I am ready to use some more on other vacation options:goodvibes

Our family stopped by for lunch at Vero last summer and was quite impressed by its beauty.
This New Years we stayed at Hilton Head.
I must say that Hilton Head was not my cup of tea.
The location is amidst shopping, and buisness's and many other resorts. Very busy and not as charming and quiet as Vero. It has nice grounds but I did not feel the Disney charm. The beach is about a mile away and that is fun.
The Island is beautiful if you head to the tip but the area around Disney is like driving around a shopping Mall. Boating is availiable which we enjoyed.
Riding bikes in the area and to the beach is a fun family activity.
Many people love Hilton Head but I just found it OK.

We too were at HHI over New Year's and did not find it to be our cup of tea. We have been to Vero twice both times at Spring Break. We fell in love with it the first time we went. You will probably get both sides of these resorts. Some love each some hate each. Both have activites for all ages of kids. The biggest problem I had with HHI is it is not on the beach. I love being able to open my door and hear the ocean at VB. Good luck with your decision.

We love both places equally, but if you looked at the activitiy list for the summer HH has more "teen" stuff - at least they did last year. We check in there on Sunday - They had a teen movie night with pizza and a teen pool party with pizza, plus other stuff. Good luck getting in this summer - it is tough if you aren't a member there. :thumbsup2

I have to agree, if your teen is the social type then HHI is a better choice. And that's coming from a hardcore VB'er. DD preferred HH and DS preferred VB. We'll be att HH next week. No teens, just DW & I.
