We are now planning our 3rd Disney World trip and looking to mix up our next vacation. We have never been to HHI but the resort looks fabulous. How is the beach? Where is it? Do you walk? My family loves going to the beaches in Florida (destin). Is it as nice? Also- I noticed a great point value for Spring Break. Is it too cold in March?

We went in March for the first time. I loved it. The Beach house was beautiful. The beach was gorgeous. We walked it instead of taking the bus. I like to walk. Some might find it too long. We didn't. And it's a beautiful walk. I think it was about a 20-25 minute walk.

You can walk, drive, take the bus directly from the resort.

Weather. I believe it really varies that time of year. A crapshoot I'd say. Others might know better. It was warm enough to hang out on the beach when we were there. We had fantastic weather this year. But I heard it was above normal.

I really loved the place. Go and have a great time.

As far as walking to the beach, IMO it is a very long walk. We always just drive over. As far as March weather, last year we went in March and it was too cold to enjoy the beach. From now on, we've decided to go either early June or early September.

We also went last March & found the weather delightful--hey, but check it out--we're from New Hampshire! :teeth:

So for us the weather was super! Actual green blooming things, azaleas, impatiens! We stayed 6 nights at HHI & never missed a morning & an evening out on the balcony, even DFIL in his mid '70's (he did wear a flannel shirt over a cotton shirt--but he does this until the temps hit the low '80's!
The guys went swimming, kayaking & hiking every day save one & that's the day we headed out to explore Savannah.

Meanwhile, back in NH it had been overcast for over a week, snow on the ground & that cutting wind gusting through!

The resort bus does stop running a little on the early side--is it 5 pm? but at that time of year, we didn't have any problem finding a parking spot at the beach house.
