My DH wants to go to HH if he can play golf during the week with our DS. We have not visited HHI. What are good sources of information about golf courses, rates and tee times for DVC HH Resort guests? Thanks for any information.

We called the resort directly and they faxed us a listing of all of the courses and the prices thru Disney. Once DH decided which course he wanted to play on, he had the resort setup the tee time and everything was waiting for us when we checked in.

Thank you TIdoublegaER for your helpful reply. Just as you said, we called the HH front desk and they have faxed us pages of useful golf information. Once we get the golf schedule set, the "girls" can get on with planning our outings. These boards are the best, good information from nice people. Thanks again for your response.

In addition to playing a few rounds, you might want to watch the pros. The Worldcom Classic will be held at the Harbour Town Golf Links April 14 - 21, 2003. Tickets go on sale September 1 and range in price from $45 for the three practice round days to $1350 for "unlimited" access to the grounds for the entire week. You can get more info on the worldcom classic web page.

I caught the practice rounds this year during our stay at HH. It was a nice way for a golf fan to spend a few hours each day.

Hilton Head has some great courses, Harbour Town is the best known ( and most expensive) you're looking at $180 a round. I really wanted to play that course and they were offering a "special" to play all three courses that opperate in that area. IT's worth calling them to see if they are still running it. I think it was $300 for one round at each of the courses. There are a lot of great courses that offer better value and one of the best ways to find out about them is to go into one of the golf outlets around the island and pick up one of the free magazines they have. These will give you some information on local courses and probably some discount/specials coupons. I've found that using the DVC entertainment departments, while they are excellent in other respects, is often an expensive way to plan golf.
