I hope this comment is welcome here. If not, I humbly apologize...
I don't think any candidate is FOR war and death. It is all a matter of navigating a proper end to the matter. Obama has his way; McCain has his. As for abortion rights, even some of the staunchest opponents of abortion (I guess this includes me) are far less interested in overturning legislation than we are in actually greatly decreasing the number of abortions. To that end, McCain should feel no significant political pressure to appoint judges thirsty to overturn Roe v Wade. JMO.
ETA: McCain supporters are not out to seduce the votes of HS or anyone else for that matter. I just believe that rational thinking through the issues may lead to more than one possible destination.

I do believe that in our current state, a Democratic President is better.
and we made the decision. I have made my decision, Obama will not get my vote (unless Hillary is on the ticket and even then I will really have to think about it and I still don't know if I could actually vote for Obama, I personally doubt it)
