Threads on the DIS are for all to participate in, not just one group of posters. As long as we are posting within the guidelines set in the TOS we are free to post wherever, whenever. Now, if you'd like to join us all in the Obama Supporters thread, by all means, do! :goodvibes

The notion that it's Hill or nothing for Democrats is simply delusional. I understand that the morale of most HS' right now is low due to her loss, but statements like that are both an embarrassment and a disservice to the Democratic party. If McCain gets the nomination it will be the work of the Republicans and the HS who vote for him in spite.

A Democrat who votes for John McCain, or simply does not vote out of spite, is no Democrat at all.

You may want to brush up on your reading comprehension skills, Sweetie.

That's not what was said in the post you quoted. :confused3

As I am not now and I do not see myself ever being an Obama supporter I will not join you over there. I am fully aware that threads on the dis are open for all to participate in, but I don't see you joining in on the soon-to-be-moms thread or the TTC thread. Just because a thread is on the boards doesn't mean you HAVE to put your two cents in. You're also allowed to close your mouth and keep moving.

It's no more delusional than the Obama people prancing around like he's the new savior and those that don't goose-step in-line are out of their minds and need to be reprogrammed.

I thought all you HS loved Limbaugh? After all, he's probably the one who kept Hill above water for so long. He, Faux Noise, and Rove are the only ones who are providing "Fair & Balanced" coverage/analysis to Hill supporters according to McAuliffe. I guess that's evidence that Faux really does know that she'd be easier to beat in the GE.

Better than what? Plenty of Hillary supporters have been vocal in saying that they've turned to Faux Noise for their daily dosing of "Fair & Balanced" Hill coverage.

If it weren't for Comedian Rush Limbaugh and his "Operation: Chaos," Hill wouldn't have been able to tread above water for as long as she has. Many conservatives have switched parties just to vote for her because they know she'd be easy to beat in the GE.

Oh, and by the way, SurveyUSA has stopped polling for Hill vs. McCain in the GE. Wonder what that means? Look for Rasmussen, Gallup, and others to follow.

Nothing that I have read there surprises me. Something that surprised me here was a HS who seemed to not like Limbaugh. Shouldn't you HS' be crediting him with some of her success? The "Operation: Chaos" voters have kept Hill above water for a while now.

Oh, please.

So, really, what's the point of posting these posts on a Hillary support thread?

They're hateful, disrespectful and serve absolutely no purpose.

They’re not going to get any of us to want to vote for Obama, if fact it does make me like the man even less if this is the kind of arrogant and condescending hate that he inspires in his supporters.

The only thing it does make me want to do, after reading posts from people like you, is stoop down to your childishness and go over to the Obama Support thread and flood out pages of posts with pro-Hillary information.

I mean, if the OS want to take over the Hillary thread then maybe the HS should go and take over the Obama thread. I think that sounds fair. Don't you? :confused3

But, I will not be that childish. I will respect the few OS that stay on their thread and do not come over here and pick fights and/or make nasty comments. I wish you guys could give us the same respect.

Yes, per the TOS you can post on this thread but the types of comments you choose to post on this thread show you to be a disrespectful person. If you are not truly a disrespectful person, then I ask you to leave this thread and post your comments on the OS thread where they'll be more appreciated.

http://www.gallup.com/poll/107488/Gallup-Daily-Clinton-Maintains-Lead-Over-McCain.aspx

PRINCETON, NJ -- Gallup Poll Daily tracking from May 20-24 finds Hillary Clinton maintaining a significant 49% to 44% lead over John McCain when registered voters are asked about their preferences for the fall general election, while McCain has a slight 47% to 45% advantage over Barack Obama.

Despite the fact that Obama is considered to be the highly probable Democratic nominee, Gallup Poll Daily tracking continues to show that, at the moment, Clinton is performing better against presumptive Republican nominee John McCain than is Obama. Clinton's five percentage point lead over McCain is statistically significant, and considerably stronger than Obama's 2-point loss to McCain among registered voters nationwide.

At the same time that Clinton is enjoying stronger support than Obama against McCain in terms of hypothetical general election matchups, she continues to lose to Obama among national Democrats. The most recent May 22-24 three-day rolling average has Obama at 50% and Clinton at 45%, a slightly smaller margin than in previous days. (To view the complete trend since Jan. 3, 2008, click here.)

It sounds like bush!

What's scary is that there are several character traits about Obama that remind me of Bush and have caused me to question the man.

On a EGO/Attitude scale I would say Bush & Obama are equivilant. And Their reasons for wanted to be President or to self serve.

Obama has been very smart to follow in the footsteps of bush in this election process with the use of his carefully chosen words cadenced to lull listeners to feel revived 'n empowered. Voters who delve deeper into his background and beliefs than his book soon discover he just plays with the same 'words' as bush did to sway the emotions of his supporters. The republicans wised up 'n realized they couldn't continue that game with more informed voters, now some Democrats want to use their more 'liberal version' of bush brain passin' it off as "change." The irony is it leaves the rest of us with only "hope" we can survive another 4 years of simple sayin's. :sad2:

Of course! The only ones who dont see this are OS'ers!

and possibly the SDs. I really wonder what will happen at the convention if Obama does not clinch the nomination beforehand. It may very well be that SDs will actually do their job and hand the nomination to someone who can actually beat McCain.

Anyone who posts in bolded red 6-point font is looking for attention. Why give it to him? You are taking his bait. He will go away if you ignore him.

May I make a suggestion? Put all the OS who post confrontational posts here on "ignore". Here are the easy instructions for those who want to try it:
(1) Click on "User CP" in the upper left corner of this page.
(2) Look at the left column all the way at the bottom for "Miscellaneous".
(3) Click on "Buddy / Ignore Lists"
(4) Find "Ignore List"
(5) Enter the name of the person whose posts you never want to read in the box labeled "Add New User to List"
(6) Click "Save List"

After that the person's posts will no longer show up when you read the DIS as if my magic! It really is a good way to manage your blood pressure and to ignore people who only want to stir the pot.

Oh ... one more thing ... if you don't have some of these folks on ignore please remember that some of us do and quoting their posts makes us read their drivel.

Bill Clinton Has 'Never Seen a Candidate Treated So Disrespectfully Just for Running'

ABC News' Sarah Amos reports: Former President Bill Clinton in South Dakota today delivered a harsh critique of how his wife has been treated during her presidential bid, telling the crowd that he has "never seen a candidate treated so disrespectfully just for running," and that, "she will win the general election if you nominate her. They're just trying to make sure you don't."

Clinton spent more than six minutes calmly discussing what he called a "frantic effort to push her out" of this race, saying that no one asked Ted Kennedy, Jesse Jackson or Gary Hart to end their presidential campaigns early.........

Media hype: How small stories become big news

The signature defect of modern political journalism is that it has shredded the ideal of proportionality.

Important stories, sometimes the product of months of serious reporting, that in an earlier era would have captured the attention of the entire political-media community and even redirected the course of a presidential campaign, these days can disappear with barely a whisper.

Trivial stories — the kind that are tailor-made for forwarding to your brother-in-law or college roommate with a wisecracking note at the top — can dominate the campaign narrative for days.

Who can guess what stories will cause the media machine to rev up its hype jets?

Actually, I have gotten pretty good at guessing which ones will. So have many of my colleagues and a generation of political operatives.

This weekend’s uproar over Hillary Rodham Clinton invoking the assassination of Robert Kennedy as rationale for continuing her presidential campaign is an especially vivid example of modern journalism as hyperkinetic child — overstimulated by speed and hunger for a head-turning angle that will draw an audience.

The truth about what Clinton said — and any fair-minded appraisal of what she meant — was entirely beside the point. ......
