Jacksonmom, I'm so sorry for what you are going through. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your dad

Thank you for the thoughts and prayers.

I didn't mean to over take this thread with my dad's illness.
I just thought I would let Jarn know that I can sort of relate what she is going through right now

I hope all is going OK, as well as it can be, for Jarn right now :grouphug:

Jacksonsmom, I'm sorry that your dad isn't well. I've never been down that road. My dad's death was sudden. But my grandfather lived with us and he had Alzheimer's. It was heartbreaking to watch him go downhill. My thoughts and prayers are with you also.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
Sorry to hear your grandfather suffered with Alzheimer's. I heard that is a tough disease also.
I agree it is so heartbreaking to watch someone you love go down hill and there is nothing you can do to stop it. :(
My dad is only 51 yrs old, he should be having the time of his life, instead he is now totally dependent on people to do everything little thing for him

Hi folks.

Just wanted to stop in and say thanks for those well wishes and prayers.

My Mom passed away last night.

Please remember that there's more to life than this political fight we have going on here.......

:grouphug: My thoughts & prayers are with your Mom & Your family!

Hey DISUNC - been wondering where you've been; you seem to be only doing flybys the last few days. Glad to see you around. :thumbsup2

I have a house full of company this weekend. Im lucky to see the bathroom!:scared:

Be back soon

After hearing Senator Clinton's statement about Robert Kennedy, both my wife and I were very surprised that anyone could mistake what she was saying. It was obvious that she was referring to the fact that he was still campaigning in June.

I saw where Robert's son issued a statement saying that he understood what she was saying and that he did not find it at all offensive. Since he and his family are the only ones who 'should' have been offended, his statement saying they were not offended ends it.

I was actually rather sad that Senator Clinton stated that she apologized for the statement. There was nothing wrong with the statement, and to try to apologize to those who, seemingly deliberately, misunderstand the statement is a waste of breath and time. I have no doubt that Limbaugh and company will harp on it for quite a while.

I thought all you HS loved Limbaugh? After all, he's probably the one who kept Hill above water for so long. He, Faux Noise, and Rove are the only ones who are providing "Fair & Balanced" coverage/analysis to Hill supporters according to McAuliffe. I guess that's evidence that Faux really does know that she'd be easier to beat in the GE.

You can't do better than that?

Better than what? Plenty of Hillary supporters have been vocal in saying that they've turned to Faux Noise for their daily dosing of "Fair & Balanced" Hill coverage.

If it weren't for Comedian Rush Limbaugh and his "Operation: Chaos," Hill wouldn't have been able to tread above water for as long as she has. Many conservatives have switched parties just to vote for her because they know she'd be easy to beat in the GE.

Oh, and by the way, SurveyUSA has stopped polling for Hill vs. McCain in the GE. Wonder what that means? Look for Rasmussen, Gallup, and others to follow.

If you're so confident in your candidate's success against Clinton then shouldn't you be trolling over in the conservative thread instead of here? ;)

Nothing that I have read there surprises me. Something that surprised me here was a HS who seemed to not like Limbaugh. Shouldn't you HS' be crediting him with some of her success? The "Operation: Chaos" voters have kept Hill above water for a while now.

You know what wouldn't surprise me?

Seeing Obama's supporters marching down the street with signs in one hand and baseball bats in the other. What, did Ron Paul's mob jump ship and go over to Obama's camp?

I like and respect Obama and it's too bad that some of his supporters are so obnoxious and disrespectful.

Rush Limbaugh is a disgusting human being and I don't have much respect for anyone who supports him- no matter what their politics are.

I already see an good example of the posts I personally will choose not to respond to. I don't see any point in bothering.

I'm glad she apologized because I think it's good form to do so to anyone who was really disturbed by what she said. No doubt some are just using the comment as a focal point for their hate and they aren't worth commenting on but I think that there are some who really felt upset.

Why would you think Hillary supporters and/or Democrats would like Rush? So he allegedly "helped" by being slimey in the primary, that is not Hillary's fault nor her supporters. We can't control anything that was set up by a Conservative idiot. He can take his votes and stick them where the sun doesn't shine, because I would have preferred he kept his stanky self out of it and let the votes go where they need to go, not set it up the way he wants it to be.

I prefer a fair race and where everyone can vote and it be counted. pixiedust:

Thank you so much for posting that link! I needed that and have to remember, that I need to listen to her, not all the garbage floating around. With Obama talking out of both sides of his mouth, it's nice to have a candidate who talks straight.

Go Hillary!!!!

Oh, please.
