Both Hillary and Barack KNOW what they are doing. Why would you think otherwise? Do you think the democratic supporters are supporting them because they do not know what they are doing?
This does not make sense.[/QUOTE]

If voters were smart, they would not have elected Bush for two terms. Barak Obama is a neophyte who has no clue how to do anything except run for office.

I so agree with this. Have you read the book Our Endangered Values by Jimmy Carter? I know...most of you will probably say he was not an effective President. But I believe he is a very good man and he makes some wonderful points about the slippery slope of mixing religious beliefs with government.

No i havent read it. But i do very much agree with the premises.

Yup...But gotta admit here, Obama Supporters do NOT know what they are doing!:lmao:

That is your opinion; albeit, a terrible one. But go ahead and write in Mickey Mouse in November. Who needs a woman's right to choose protected or our troops brought home right?

How sweet. Anything else you want to say on a non-bashing thread?

What even makes you think Obama can do that???? Cause he says so?
There is no evidence in his meager career that he is even capable of tasks of this magnitude.:sad2:

I literally :lmao: considering this post was immediately after DisUnc saying that Obama supporters are all idiots. :rotfl:

Hi All,

I'm an independent who was hoping for Hillary. I'm very sad about how things have gone for her. I really admire and respect her strength and tenacity. I was originally an Edwards supporter, and I really feel he got a bad deal with media coverage. I was won over by Hillary and now am sad that it doesn't look good for her.

I hope for some miracle that will keep Hillary in this thing.

Mary

I've tried to stay out of your thread and be positive when I do come on it, but if this is a non-bashing threads, then why comments like this?

Whadda crock!

Really? You consider THAT BASHING?????:sad2:

oiy!

First of all, that is not bashing. Take a look at the perfect straight line that preceded it and tell me anyone can ignore that (well anyone with a sense of humor anyway) ;)

Second (and this is the point), this is the Hillary thread where we Hillary supporters are supposed to have a sort of haven. What we say on this thread is sometimes offensive to OS. That's why we have this thread and you have your own. I would never dream of coming into your thread and trying to convince you that Obama is an idiot, a liar, and a racist. Yet your compatriots (I wont say you particularly because I frankly can't remember) do that all the time. See the difference?

Five things to watch in W. Va.

1.) How goes Mason County? In 1988 and 2000 – the last elections with no incumbent president on the ballot – the county of less than 30,000 residents on the Ohio border was within 5 percentage points of the actual statewide primary results.
That could be good news for Clinton, who had a commanding 65 to 16 percent lead in the county in the most recent poll of West Virginia voters, a Suffolk University survey taken this past weekend (May 10 – 11).

2.) The Edwards protest vote. John Edwards, the former North Carolina senator who ended his Democratic presidential campaign in January, remains on the ballot in West Virginia. And he polled at 4 percent in the Suffolk poll, primarily from men and independents.

If Edwards gets that much of the vote or more, it could add to the night’s woes for Obama and presage problems for him in a general election match-up with McCain, particularly in rural states like West Virginia.

3) Turnout in the southern coal fields, the northern panhandle and the Ohio River counties. These areas, home to some of the most unionized, blue collar, and economically distressed populations in the state, are Clinton country.

The Clinton campaign acknowledges it needs a big win with high turnout to make the kind of statement it needs in West Virginia, and these areas will be key to turnout.

4.) Television coverage. The Clinton campaign blames the Obama-as-inevitable storyline partly on the saturation television coverage of last week’s huge Obama victory in North Carolina and unexpectedly narrow Clinton win in Indiana. Much of the analysis framed the night as a determinative moment in the campaign. Campaign aides were particularly peeved at Tim Russert’s declaration on MSNBC that “we now know who the Democratic nominee is going to be, and no one is going to dispute it” – even before the network called Indiana for Clinton.

Clinton told several hundred supporters gathered Sunday at a middle school gym in Eleanor, W. Va., that “the eyes of the country and the world will be on West Virginia Tuesday,” because “there is no other state that everybody is going to be waiting to see.”

5.) Fundraising bounce: Clinton’s campaign has been outspent in nearly every state by Obama’s fundraising juggernaut and the Clinton campaign acknowledged over the weekend it is $20 million in debt.

Clinton, who loaned her campaign more than $11 million from her and her husband’s assets, boasted that her supporters deluged her website with small contributions totaling $10 million in the 24 hours after her April 22 victory in Pennsylvania – a record one-day haul.

If a huge West Virginia win uncorks a similar contribution surge, it wouldn’t make her campaign financially competitive with Obama’s. But it would help it towards solvency.

Good choice! :thumbsup2

I sadly don't see too many miracles coming out of this though. :confused3

As for the bashing, it bothers me when it turns personal against other posters but of course Hillary and Obama are fair game. Tensions are high right now though and DISers can't expect to come into the Hillary thread and not get some fall out. JMO.

It really pains me to agree with an Obama supporter on anything but DISUNC I gotta admit that comment was sort of out of line. Those kind of generalizations (even as a joke) aren't helping the cause on either side.

I'm all for this being a sacred space where we can vent about Obama (without being lectured), and even about SOME of the OS. But to make a blanket statement that someone an idiot just based on the fact that they support a different candidate doesn't accomplish anything positive. (unless the candidate is Nader :lmao: ) There are some OS that have come on this thread to engage in thoughtful discussion, lets not paint them all with the same brush.

Now that I've done my PSA:

GO HILLARY!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I think that it *does* turn to bashing when someone types the words "Obama Supporters ..." (or "Hillary Supporters ...") followed by something negative :(.

It's that stupid word "some" again. I'm making a mental note to use it in every post because sometimes I'd get a little keyed up and accidently make a blanket statement. It was at least usually an accident. ;)

The bad feelings on both sides are bad enough right now; why don't we consider not making it worse. We can still rant and slam the candidates we don't like. How about McCain for starters?

Hey, I voted for Nader. :rolleyes1 ;)

Idiot. (JK, ;))

Seriously, though, I'm not trying to start fights, just trying to keep the name calling and insults focused where it belongs.

On the Republicans. :goodvibes

Duly noted.
But In my defense, I did not use the term 'idiots"!!!! So please dont apply that to me.
Also, I will stick by my statement.
After being called many unfortunate names by OS supporters, I owe them nothing.

I am not looking to help the Obama Supporters at all. I do think they are doing a great diservice to our nation. I do know that based on his track record Obama is not capable of being a good president.

Whenever I (or any non OS supporter) tried to talk facts and experience, every OS supporter I have encountered on the Disboards has ran away from any questions or concerns. All I ever got was either Obama political slogans, or just how horrible Hillary is,or now "YOU ARE BASHING US":sad1: .

Whatever! Tough cookies! Thats real life getover it! :confused3

And I do believe that all the Obama Mania has more to do with people filling some sort of Psych needs, and nothing to do with who can best be President. Especially during these extrodinary tough times.

Therefore I do not think that Obama supporters are doing whats right for the country or the party, but mostly filling some self need for "Hero Worshipping" deep inside them.

As I said many times, Obama is not fit to be Dog Catcher, never mind President.

Thats my 2 cents. you dont have to agree with it at all. But lets all be adults here and chat like adults.
