Easley on Clinton: She makes Rocky look like a 'pansy'

Easley formally endorsed Clinton Tuesday.
(CNN) – North Carolina Gov. Mike Easley formally endorsed Hillary Clinton's White House bid Tuesday, saying the New York senator "gets it."

"It's time for somebody to be in the White House who understands the challenges we face in this country," Easley said at a rally in Raleigh with Clinton at his side. "They are significant. I never ever thought the United States of America could get in as much trouble as we have over the last 7 or 8 years."

Easley, a two term governor who is unable to run for re-election because of term limits, also praised Clinton for her persistence.

"I've been accused of being persistent, and down right aggravating…but this lady right here makes Rocky Balboa look like a pansy," Easley said.

The endorsement gives the New York senator a symbolic boost in the state she is trailing Barack Obama by double digits. Easley is the second superdelegate from North Carolina to back Clinton. Six North Carolina superdelegates have endorsed Obama.

Although, I wouldnt call Rev Wright story superficial. This all ties into Obamas Character. Remeber he is being vetted as he goes along....most of the country did not know him until a few months ago.

As of today, The Big issues for me are..The Economy, The War & NHC. I do know both candidates stances. That why I am backing Hillary.....ESPECIALLY when it comes to NHC & ending this war. Are plans are much more realistic & doable.

I see your point here, but doesn't it ever bother you that it is something like a flag pin that will change people's minds about a person...what does him not wearing a pin say about what type of president he will be? I want issues, our nation is going through rough times with the war and the economy...that is what I am worried about, not if the president is wearing his flag pin today. I want to hear about issues that effect me...I will never be sitting up at night worrying about if his pin is secured to his lapel...however, I might sit up worrying if I can make my mortgage payment. I think we all need to get over superficial issues and choose a president who will help to turn our country around...that is what we need.

ITA with you. But lets face it.... 1 person giving in on a small thing that does not matter in the big picture is easier to accomplish. Getting millions of people to change is not likely to happen.

I think sometimes you need to swallow your pride, suck it up & do what you have to do to change the world.

Is there a problem with the word "snap"? When an even tempered and extremely reasonable person, which I believe Fitz to be shows as much anger as she did last night, I think "snap" is appropriate. It is not a put down of her or anyone else, believe me. I am also very glad she has not been banned. I look forward to her coming back to this board and enriching our threads with her insight.

I wasn't playing nice here...I meant it, you are democrats and although I do not support Hillary I am no hater of people who do...it was a joke (saying I ran from the sniper fire)...remember it was one of you guys who called me out for one little post, basically about stuff we should all agree on. I meant in terms of "snapping under intense pressure". I am unaware of any derogatory connotations. I certainly did not mean to imply anything was mentally wrong with her. Is that really how it sounded?

SD yet to choose feel that Obama does not feel the same as Rev Wright however They are wondering if Obama is just another politician saying what he needs to say to be elected...just as REV Wright stated.
