New Rassmussen polls...for NC

April 5th it was Obama 56% Hillary 33% Obama had a 23% lead

Yesterday April 29th Obama 51% Hillary 37% Obama has a 14% lead

McCain 46% Obama 45%
McCain45% Hillary 45%

DEM Nomination Obama 47% Hillary 43%

She is gaining ground. At least by this poll :thumbsup2

If she looses by 10% she can claim a victory as Obama did in PA. As he and his OS said he won because he came up from Hillary being so far behind in the polls. :rotfl2:

Keeps it up Hillary:thumbsup2

I'm sorry you guys... but I have bad news...

Anyone catch Hillary on O'Reilly tonight? I thought she did an excellent job - of course - check out what the headline was:

Clinton criticizes former Obama pastor on O'Reilly broadcast

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Hillary Rodham Clinton said Wednesday she found remarks by Barack Obama's former pastor to be "offensive and outrageous" and noted that her Democratic rival had spoken out forcefully against them.

"I think that he made his views clear, finally, that he disagreed. And I think that's what he had to do," Clinton said in an interview with Fox News commentator Bill O'Reilly. The network released excerpts of the taped interview ahead of its airing Wednesday night.

It was the former first lady's first appearance on the O'Reilly show, the most popular Fox News program and a staple of conservative media. Over the years, O'Reilly has been a staunch critic of both the New York senator and her husband, former President Bill Clinton.

Campaign aides said her appearance on the Fox News show was designed to reach out to working-class, independent white men who could decide the outcome of next week's Indiana primary.

Last week Clinton accepted the endorsement of another frequent critic, Pittsburgh Tribune-Review publisher Richard Mellon Scaife. The billionaire had funded several investigations that helped lead to Bill Clinton's impeachment in 1998.

Obama on Tuesday dissociated himself with the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, his pastor of 20 years, after Wright made inflammatory comments to reporters in Washington. Among other things, Wright praised Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan and said the American government may have developed the AIDS virus to infect the black community.

"I sure don't believe the United States government was behind AIDS," Clinton told O'Reilly.

Clinton defended her husband's White House years during the 15-minute interview.

"In the '90s, we had one of the strongest, fairest economies we've ever had," she said. "Yes, did people like you and me pay a little bit more? We sure did. But so did everybody else benefit, because middle class taxes stayed pretty even."

She added: "People are net losers under the Bush economy. They were net winners under the Clinton economy. We're going to bring back a good, positive economy for the vast majority of Americans."

She also talked alot about health care - but they neglected to mention that also.......

Good article.

Oh! And Got Disney:

If she loses by only 10%, no, I'm afraid that she can't claim victory like Obama was allowed to for PA. It's those darn double standards dontcha know.

The article I posted is looking for a closer race in NC after the Wright debacle.

Now I'm wondering what brought this on. :)

I need to know platforms and beliefs and anything about spouses, churches and so on. Was there ever any sniper fire?

Edited to Add: Of course there was sniper fire! Every presidential candidate must pass the right of enduring pretend sniper fire in order to run for candidacy. That was in the 'Running for President 101' rulebook.

I was being facetious (sp) :rotfl2:

Hay did anyone see Hillary's interview on the FACTOR with Bill? she did a great Job. The other half is on tomorrow. Not one person DEMS or REP had one thing bad to say about it. Some REP even stated that it was a brilliant move on her part. They were all so positive it was great to here for once.

She is so good at talking points and so easy to listen to when she talks.
If you get a chance to watch it so so. also listen after it was interesting about some other stuff thrown in there about the far left blogs and such.

No, I missed it. I'm glad she was good, but then again, she usually is. She knows her policy backwards and forwards. Very little can mess her up. How was the questioning? Intelligent, softball, argumentative? With O'Reiley you never know.

I know, but I was being mischievous and pointing out that fact to all of the Obama supporters lurking on this thread. :rolleyes1

I missed the interview. I'm glad she did such a great job. I don't watch much, if any, television at home but I have to occasionally watch CNN at work and her speeches are always great. They are ones that I can get into and listen to as she gives explanations for how she wants to make changes.

Obama's Negatives Rise, Clinton Tops McCain in New Poll

Barack Obama's recent woes may be having an effect in the polls.

A new CBS/New York Times poll released on Wednesday shows Sen. Obama, D-Ill., and presumptive Republican nominee Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., tied in a hypothetical general election match-up, while Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., edges out McCain by a five-point margin.

Here are raw CBS/New York Times numbers now (among registered voters):

If the candidates were Obama and McCain, who would you vote for?
Obama: 45%
McCain: 45%
Undecided/Don't Know: 6%

If the candidates were Clinton and McCain, who would you vote for?
Clinton: 48%:cool1:
McCain: 43%
Undecided/Don't Know: 5%

"Barack Obama's problems over the last few weeks, including his Pennsylvania primary loss and the continuing media coverage of his former pastor Rev. Jeremiah Wright, may have contributed to his weaker position compared to two weeks ago," read an analysis released by CBS and the New York Times.

Bill saved no punches :rotfl2: he was being Bill, but not rude. She had no trouble coming back at him with intellegent questions. She was relaxed and very comfortable in her skin. Everyone was impressed that came on to comment on it.
