Actually, Richardson was my first choice, but Edwards was right up there. I really thought it would be a Richardson-Obama ticket. I don't understand why Richardson just didn't catch fire.

Btw, here's one reason why I don't think the Florida non-primary results should be counted and it has nothing to do with Hillary. I voted in the Florida primary and I voted for Kucinich as did my DH. Certainly, if the choice had been between Obama and Hillary, I would've voted for Obama. But, that's not the way it was in January.

As it stands now, the January primary does not reflect the reality of today. Honestly, it has nothing to do with Hillary. My opposition is a reflection of what happened that day.

Yes - but using that logic - all the early states could have do-overs with different results..........

There's bound to be some people with buyer's remorse.

That poll was before Wright's little speech today and before the pundits started hammering on Obama because of it. I wonder if it will get much worse or if Obama can explain it away to the faithful.

Dont think Obama needs to explain it away to the faithful...they just BELIEVE!

You know what? That was just a long ramble so I'll delete... I really need to stop posting when I'm too tired to think.

The News media analysts that have been fair ...ones that don't rag on any of the candidates were talking together about REV Wright and they said that it is starting to show that this is having a impact on the voters and all ready starting to show in the polls in SC and Indiana.

They said that Obama has to denounce him completely and even show anger towards Wright and his comments to show the people that he truly does not agree with him.

TOO LATE FOR THAT!!!!!
He finacially supported him as of last year, and put him on his campaign until February of this year. Theres really nothing Obama can do other than "MY WIFE MADE ME GO TO THAT CHURCH...its her fault!":lmao:

Then again, he just may do that. He had nooooooooo trouble throwin his Grandma under a bus, when needed.

Well Obama should have thrown Wright under the bus before wright threw him..and today he did a great job of that. He is a wacko REV throwing Garbage around and is caring not about Obama and Obama needs to wake up and smell the coffee that this man is in it for himself and no one else...he is saying SHOW ME THE MONEY :rotfl2:

If this man cared about Obama or even had pride in having the first black man becoming POTUS he would have disappeared for a few months. I think this is going to really hurt Obama.

this is one of the reasons Hillary stayed in even though so many said she needed to get out.

I posted this on another thread but wanted to add my thoughts about this here.

I not only wonder about Obama but his wife and wonder somewhat if this is why he wants to change the way the White house/politics is run because he also feels anti American to a point so he will be POTUS...what better way to change the things REV wright so speaks about :confused3 and makes me think about that pin he felt he did not need to wear. I understood his explination but now I am wondering if there was more to it.

But more if Obama does not feel this way than IMO his wife sure does...after all this is the first time she has been proud of America in her adult life not to mention the other anti American stuff she has said ...sounds like something out of REV Wrights book.

Again this is JMO and it could be wrong. Just my thoughts tonight after watching more of the news and all of REV Wright stuff.

Individually on their own. Their quotes & actions are harmeless...but when you put them altogether....One sure must wonder.

"Typical White People"

"Bitter people who cling to....."

"I cannot swallow whole the view of Lincoln as the Great Emancipator."

From his book "From 'Dreams of my Father"
" I FOUND A SOLACE IN NURSING A PERVASIVE SENSE OF GRIEVANCE AND ANIMOSITY AGAINST MY MOTHER'S RACE"

From his book "From 'Dreams of my Father"
"That hate hadn't gone away," he wrote, BLAMING "WHITE PEOPLE — some CRUEL, some IGNORANT, sometimes a single face, sometimes just a faceless image of a system claiming power over our lives."

He is a Constitutional Scholar! Yet when he gave his speech on Racism, he started the speech
"We the people, in order to form a more perfect union".
That's not right, it is "We the people, of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union"

:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

It has nothing to do with buyer's remorse. It has everything to do with a primary that was not supposed to count and agreed to as such by all parties.

If there's a do-over, fine. But that is up to the individual state parties and not the individual candidates. It's not happening and it has nothing to do with Obama.

Nah...he wants to be president for the same reason they all do (ego) and I do not think he is anti-American. I do think he has a problem understanding middle class Americans since he has never really been a part of that culture. He is "clinging" to his wife's religion and culture because he was raised without much grounding in his own and has always felt lost. Is he white, is he black, where does he belong? These are the questions that Wright answered for him and that's why he feels he cannot denounce him. It's an emotional thing I think. I really do feel somewhat sorry for Obama, but I do not feel (based in part on this, in part on other things) that he is ready for the presidency.

I think he might be president someday. It is not his time. He is too young & cocky still. I think him not wearing a flag pin is just the intellectual in him saying it is just a symbol I do not have to wear it. If all the voters in this country were like him & my brother he would win. The problem is you also need common sense.

His problem now is people feel uncomfortable with too many things he wants to do his way because of so many things he did his way.

If people take comfort in him wearing the flag pin...wear it. We all have to do things we rather not to get jobs, like dressing the part.

These seem trivial things but then they start piling up.

I see your point here, but doesn't it ever bother you that it is something like a flag pin that will change people's minds about a person...what does him not wearing a pin say about what type of president he will be? I want issues, our nation is going through rough times with the war and the economy...that is what I am worried about, not if the president is wearing his flag pin today. I want to hear about issues that effect me...I will never be sitting up at night worrying about if his pin is secured to his lapel...however, I might sit up worrying if I can make my mortgage payment. I think we all need to get over superficial issues and choose a president who will help to turn our country around...that is what we need.

I am looking at all threads...is that okay...or am I in a bad part of town??? :) You don't agree that real issues, like the economy and war are important not superficial stuff??? I am sure you did not think Hillary deserved to get bashed for her Bosnia remarks...wouldn't you refer to it as a superficial issue???

WB I understand what you mean and intellectually I agree with you. But we've all met someone and for reason's we couldn't explain didn't like them, couldn't connect with them. It's subtle things, little things that form our gut reaction to someone. So maybe the flag pin is a stupid deal to you and me.

But to other's its huge. (And especially in light of the perception that his minister is anti-American.) I think what it says is that he's not someone that cares what other Americans think - to consider what other's may feel is important. I think it says that he's not willing to make a silly little compromise to make some of the people happy. And honestly that makes him a little bit like Bush. Granted he's coming from the other end of the spectrum in intelligence. But arrogance and rigidity in thinking is never good.

Im teasin ya!:lmao:

We the TOUGH side of town!:cool1:
Hillary certainly needed to get her hand slapped over the Bosnia thing!!!!
That was superficial....and STUPID.

Although, I wouldnt call Rev Wright story superficial. This all ties into Obamas Character. Remeber he is being vetted as he goes along....most of the country did not know him until a few months ago.

As of today, The Big issues for me are..The Economy, The War & NHC. I do know both candidates stances. That why I am backing Hillary.....ESPECIALLY when it comes to NHC & ending this war. Are plans are much more realistic & doable.
