Also they are only 3,000 votes apart after last night. So the popular vote will mean nothing...at least that is what CNN said

In all reality thats 5 weeks away. A political LIFETIME.
But as of 2/20, Clinton has brought a heck of a lot more $ in donations then Obama. And I know she had a BIG donation bump since then. This will be a bigger if not the BIGGEST win for Hillary.

...but again...anything can happen between now and then.

I posted the below post at 10am yesterday. I think MSNBC needs to hire us instead of Russert & Andrea Mitchell.

& when i turned MSNBC on at 5pm yesterday, they were discussing the inevitability of Hillary conceding.

& I normally LIKE MSNBC.

I'm getting a NH vibe. Consider the following for Ohio:

- Front page "NaftaGate" will fire up working class Ohioans.
- Was leading there anyway.
- SNL, Jack & Daily Show demonstrate she's the tough, cool, smart chick that we all knew she was. (& the big eyed b*tch if you get on her bad side. ...which is ok too.)

But will "dittoheads" & late breaking HC voters neutralize double latte drinking children of baby boomers & crossover Republican voting HC haters?

I think so - HC 54% - BO - 45%


For Texas, see above & add great weather....& Texans love tough gals.....also, Eva Longoria is touring with her (trust me on this... All Latinas LOVE Eva, who is a Texas Latina version of Oprah & 99% of men think she's kinda "ok looking" (Genius get on HC's part.).

But...I'm fearful that many republican hard liners are crossing over to vote BO because they can't stand HC. I'm hoping a few "dittoheads" neutralize these Republicans... who only want to hop in our hot tub & fart. Also, I'm hoping some who might have crossed over are voting for Huckabee instead to send JM a message (we can hope).

I'm also VERY fearful that BO supporters (who are wired in general & to each other) will get MANY more people to the caucus tonite than HC voters. So what do i think?

HC - 52% - BO - 47%......BUT BO will get more caucus votes & his precincts will be worth more....so i believe it will be a dead heat in delegates in Texas.

I defer to you all in VT & RI....but it looks like those to states might be a wash....anybody got any thoughts on the two NE states?

He's so confident/cocky he should just ignore her. He's got this thing in the bag according to his campaign, right? They should treat her like McCain treated Huckabee. McCain really had the thing sown up since Feb. 5th and I don't remember him asking Huckabee to get out. Just pay no attention to her. He should start working on picking his cabinet.

Maybe he could even come out with a commercial saying it's all over-people in PA don't bother voting for him because he doesn't need their votes.

I have to say that I only really hear it from the Obama supporters that have drank to much Obama kool-aid.....the ones that only drank a little seem to get that.

That's because it's too painful to admit that he can't seal the deal and win the nomination. The only way that Obama can "win" is if Hillary quits. But he can't beat her, at least not in the way that the rules require, with 2025 delegates.

Give them some time to come to that realization. If Hillary continues winning (particularly the big states like PA), I think Barak's expectations will go down a notch.

I saw him on TV this morning saying that Hillary went negative. I wonder how negative he's going to get from this point on and how his supporters who are "tired of politics as usual" will react.

I've already thought him to be 'negative' in his campaigns so I keep shaking my head every time he brings up that Hillary is 'negative'. I honestly don't think a lot of his supporters see that in him... they are just too obsessed with him.

This is OT, but like you (and other people on the DIS ) I am also a horrible speller! I use the Firefox browser to read and post to the DIS and it has a built-in spell checker. It flags misspelled words by underlining them in red and then suggests correct spelling when you right click on the word. You can even add words like "Barack" to you dictionary. Give it a try! You'll like it .

It still kills me that Gore lost in 2000, but that's the way the process works and we can't just throw it away the first time it yields an undesirable result. Texas has shown an astonishing gain in registered Democrats this year. I would be thrilled if my vote actually mattered for once.

Here are a few quotes from our local paper this morning. It should be noted that this paper is strongly Republican.

One question being asked was how much of the Democrat turnout was actually Democrat. By some estimates, as much as 30 percent of it could have come from Republicans who crossed over to try to affect the outcome of the Democrat nomination process.

Koehne (our county Republican chairman) said she hoped that kind of crossover wasn’t widespread, although she acknowledged she’d heard of at least a couple cases in Guadalupe County.

First, it’s not the right thing to do, Koehne said. Secondly, you’re affiliated with your party, and endorsing its platform, and the Democrat platform is much different from the Republican one. Third, you can lose your invitation to party sponsored events, as one young man who had voted early — on the Democrat side — learned Tuesday evening when he went to his Republican precinct meeting and was told he could not participate.

“He was a young man with a real enthusiasm about participating in the process, and he had all kinds of aspirations,” Koehne said. “We had to ask him to leave.”

Several of the Obama supporters at our precinct caucus were Republicans. They were offering up resolutions like "If Obama gets the nomination, he should be encouraged to name "Ron Paul" (a republican) as VP." And whenever someone would offer such a resolution and it was voted down, they'd walk out of the caucus in a huff.

These caucuses in TX, while I think it is a dumb system, do serve a purpose. Not only do they select 1/3 of delegates, thus influence the outcome of the primary, they also are the first stage of building the States (and ultimately the National) Party platform. I think it is really sad that non-Democrats try to disrupt the party with such nonsense. When Republicans showed up at caucus and voted Obama, that could swing the delegate count.

Uhh...we don't register Democrat or Republican, at least not in our Texas county. We simply show up and vote in whichever we choose. Unlike California and other states where you actually list your party choice when you register and are only allowed to vote in the respective primary.

In CA, you show up at the polls, they check your registration, and give you the ballot for your registered party.
