Congrats to all of the Hillary supporters on great wins last night!
:thumbsup2

Thanks! She never gave up. Such a great example and history lesson for young girls growing up!!!!

A woman can dream of being president!!!!!!

Can someone explain to me how Hillary could have won Texas by 100,000 votes, and Obama wins the caucases by 2000 votes, yet he gets a huge number of delegates from winning the caucases. This is democracy? Take away the black inner city vote and what has he got?

The same way Al Gore won the popular vote and lost the presidency. It isn't how many votes you win, but where you win them. Some precincts receive more delegates than others.

A lot of white supporters like me.

Yes, and who cried foul then? But it's okay this time??

Who did cry foul? The Gore V. Bush lawsuit was about counting votes, not about demolishing the Electoral College in favor of going with a straight popular vote.

The 2000 election did spark a great deal of discussion about the EC, but as far as I know, it's still the system in place.

This is the way the system works. And sometimes it sucks to be on the losing end of it.

So then, the delegates that are awarded from the caucases and from whatever section of a state that you win IN THE PRIMARY is based on the electoral college?

No the numbers are apportioned based on how well that precinct supported the Democrats in previous elections.

It's actually quite complicated. So quite a shock that we uneducated, unemployed inner-city Obama supporters could figure it out.

Still not enough of you to win without the black inner city vote. Take that away and Obama loses his huge delegate numbers.

And your point is?

Newsflash: We stopped counting blacks as 3/4 of a person a hundred and fifty years ago.

Who's taking it away? :confused3 Besides, they're voters too. Sounds like you don't think they should count.

The Obama argument will be - well the base will vote for us anyway - and we'll bring in the independents......
I think I heard close to 30% of HC voters in Ohio won't vote for Obama versus something closer to 10% of Obama voters who won't vote for HC.

Then I read a story yesterday that there is a major Jewish group in NYC that has a real problem with Obama's views on Isreal right now.

Newsflash, we were also suppose to be above voting by race.:)

Sometimes voters like choosing someone they think will best represent them and their interests. It's a big reason why Hillary is pulling so strongly from older white women. :)

I'm all for them counting Laura. What I'm not for is that those sections award much higher delegate numbers. That is not fair or equal.

Yes, but, should a white person say that and they would be labeled racist, like I'm being labeled now because I have a problem with the way delegates are awarded in the primarys.

Why not? It's more fair than statewide winner takes all.

I am white. I just said it. I don't think I'm racist, not the last time I checked. :rotfl:

So when exactly did you personally interview every single Obama supporter so that you could make your sweeping blanket declaration that the only reason any black person on planet Earth would support Obama is because he is black?

You don't live in Texas. You are not a Democrat. So the methods used by the Democratic Party in Texas should reflect your views because...?
