56% Disagree with Obama’s Comments on Small Town America

Monday, April 14, 2008

Fifty-six percent (56%) of voters nationwide disagree with Barack Obama’s statement that people in small towns “cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations." A Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that just 25% agree with the Democratic frontrunner while 19% are not sure.

Election 2008: Florida Presidential Election

Florida: McCain Trounces Obama, Even with Clinton

Monday, April 14, 2008

The battle over Florida’s convention delegates may be taking its toll on Barack Obama’s prospects in the Sunshine State. For the second time in three months, John McCain enjoys a double digit lead over the Democratic frontrunner.
The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in Florida shows McCain attracting 53% of the vote while Obama earns 38%. Last month, amidst talk of a possible Florida revote, Obama had closed to within single digits of McCain. In February, however, Obama trailed McCain by sixteen points.
If McCain is matched against Hillary Clinton, the race is a toss-up—Clinton 45% McCain 44%.
McCain is viewed favorably by 62% of the state’s voters, Clinton by 49%, and Obama by 42%.
If Florida Governor Charlie Crist is selected as McCain’s running mate, 30% say they’re more likely to vote for McCain, 31% say less likely, and 31% say it would have no impact on their decision. By a 38% to 28% margin, Republicans are more likely to vote for a ticket with Crist. By a 40% to 22%, the state’s Democrats take the opposite view. Among unaffiliated voters, 30% are more likely to vote for a ticket with Crist, 22% are less likely to do so.
Now that Fidel Castro has turned over power in Cuba to his brother, 37% of Florida voters believe it’s time to lift the economic embargo against Cuba. Thirty-seven percent (37%) disagree and 26% are not sure.
Rasmussen Marketsshows that Republicans are currently given a 73.1contract_type = "rasmussen";contract_id = 68308;node_id = 8280 + "_" + 6029;new Ajax("/extension/ajax/intrade_lastprice.php", {data: 'contractID=' + contract_id + '&contract_type=' + contract_type,method: 'get',update: $('intrade_' + node_id)}).request(); %chance of winning Florida’s twenty-seven Electoral College Votes this fall. As this poll is released, Florida is rated “Leans Republican” in the Rasmussen Reports Balance of Power Calculator. Balance of Power projections indicate that the Electoral College scoreboard is a toss-up at this time.

Here is a Lanny Davis (this guy's picture needs to be next to the word loyal in the dictionary) rebuttal to a recent article by Carl Bernstein:

http://ac360.blogs.cnn.com/2008/04/...llary-and-differentiating-facts-from-opinion/

While drivin into work tonight I was listening to Lou Dobbs on CNN (it is simucast on Sirius). I dont know who the Obama Pundint on his panel was, but EVERYTHING he said about Barack (all the same stuff we read here) LOU DOBBS WENT AFTER HIM BIG TIME. I swear the Obama supporter was stuttering and stammering his words. LOU WAS RELENTLESS!:thumbsup2
Lou was screaming at the guy, by the end of the segment the guy was agreeing with Lou that Hillary will win the nomination!

The guy couldnt answer one flippen question. I wish I had the visuals to go with it!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Lou Dobbs said that 9 major news outlets reported that Obama offered a apology for his 'bitter' remarks. However Obama never apologized. He wants to know why 9 MAJOR NEWS OUTLETS are lying to the American people.

Today Lou Dobbs in my HERO!:cool1:

BTW! When appearing on The View a few weeks ago, Obama also stated that his Reverend had apologised to the American people (He Didn't). Not ONE of those ladies called him out on that, nor did the Press run with the story!:sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

Some highlights from this article. I thought was interesting (to say the least)

A Living LieBy Thomas Sowell

while Hillary Clinton tells lies, Barack Obama is himself a lie.

There is, of course, not a speck of evidence that Obama has ever transcended party differences in the United States Senate

Nor has he sponsored any significant bipartisan legislation -- nor any other significant legislation, for that matter.

Senator Obama is all talk -- glib talk, exciting talk, confident talk, but still just talk.

Like so many others on the left, Obama rejects "stereotypes" when they are stereotypes he doesn't like but blithely throws around his own stereotypes about "a typical white person" or "bitter" gun-toting, religious and racist working class people.

However inconsistent Obama's words, his behavior has been remarkably consistent over the years. He has sought out and joined with the radical, anti-Western left, whether Jeremiah Wright, William Ayers of the terrorist Weatherman underground or pro-Palestinian and anti-Israeli Rashid Khalidi.

It is understandable that young people are so strongly attracted to Obama. Youth is another name for inexperience

Those of us old enough to have seen the type again and again over the years can no longer find them exciting. Instead, they are as tedious as they are dangerous.

Today Thomas Sowell is my other hero!:thumbsup2

*I know its not 'best' to post anti Obama stuff here...BUT SOMETIMES ITS JUST FLIPPEN AWESOME TO BE VALIDATED!

His camp's first response to questions where they didn't recall the guy. Now there is testimony in the Rezko trial that the Obama's were at a reception thrown in honor of Nadhmi Auchi and the camps answer is they don't recall being at the party.

http://www.suntimes.com/news/metro/rezko/894559,CST-NWS-rezko15.article

"Mr. and Mrs. Obama were there, were they not?" Rezko's lawyer, Joseph Duffy, asked.

"Yes, sir," Levine said.
....
Gov. Blagojevich hosted a separate dinner party for Auchi two days earlier, at the Four Seasons hotel in downtown Chicago, the Sun-Times has reported.

***

This is the guy (Auchi) who is an Iraqi Billionaire who transfered $3.5 billion to Rezko's wife a month before she purchased the lot next to Obama(that on paper she couldn't afford.) He was also charged along with Saddam(yes that Saddam) in '59 with conspiring to kill Iraq's president, and was considered in Saddam's intelligence service and a bagman.

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2008/03/obamas_former_friend.html

Obama aides were quoted as saying Auchi never reached out to the senator, and representatives of both men say neither has any recollection of meeting the other. But the Times of London reported last week that "the two may have had a brief encounter" at the Four Seasons Hotel in Chicago.

I watched a lot of Clinton talking in Pitt yesterday about China and bringing US Steel jobs back to this country. This has been an issue of mine for years.

:thumbsup2 NOW THAT should have been IN THE NEWS!

Now that would be the ultimate in political sacrifice!

I dont think I could do it! Standing there looking at my watch, holding a FastPass which is about due!

Florida's vote boosts nominee's legitimacy, Clinton says

"Hillary Rodham Clinton rejected the idea of a backroom compromise deal between the candidates to resolve Florida's Democratic delegate mess, insisting a solution must come from the national Democratic Party.

And failing to give Florida and Michigan a voice in the presidential nomination would leave the legitimacy of the nomination in question, the New York senator said.

"I don't think it's up to Sen. (Barack) Obama or me to dictate any resolution. I think it's up to the DNC to decide how to proceed, and I would hope that it would do so recognizing what's at stake,'' "

I agree. I still believe that Florida and Michigan should have a voice. It's about the voters not the party IMO.

I am a lifelong democrat and I really think that not seating FL and Mich is bad for the party long term as well as the voters.

MORE THOUGHTS ON OBAMA'S COMMENTS

Now let's see here. Barack Obama says that people turn to religion when they're bitter. Karl Marx said that religion is the opiate of the masses. Do you see any vague similarity between the two comments? Obama, you will remember, was very fond of Marxist professors and student groups during his college years.

Much as I am disgusted by Obama's slur, some people have been trying to paint Liberals as Communists for far too long for me to pay any attention.

Nope, I think you're stretching on that one. And as an atheist, I agree with BOTH comments.

Lou started going off on him big time since his last remark. Lou has been fair with all the candidates but Obama has finally completely turned him off. He has been fair at criticisng all candidates evenly up till this. I was watching him the other night on a separate talk show...cant for the life of me remember which one. But he was pissed!

Another one that has been turning the tables is Wolf Blitzer. He has been sticking up for fairness. Cafferty is the worse. He sounds like such a mean human being. He looks like if you gave him a gun he would shoot someone....hay maybe he is bitter about something :rolleyes1

I was looking at that last night but they were saying( on the huffington post) that there polls are never very good. But I remember you said that you liked them and you showed there stats and they seemed to be very close.

Geesh :sad2: why is this stuff not on the news ...the more I hear about him the more McCain sounds better. And that is making me go crazy...
