Hillary supporters Unit #3 ..yes we are still here!
DH has been a republican since the first time he could vote....he is 53. Every election we vote different and wipe each others votes out. This year he was voting for Hillary. His first time voting Democratic.

He has since changed back to McCain and we will still be voting the same.

I was going into the Conservative thread from the beginning of this election....asking questions and such. They new I was at that time for Hillary or Obama not once was trashed for it....yet the OS trashed me and others that were HS for being HS and not voting Obama....

The OS said more nasty things about Hillary than the McCain supporters did.

They will remain my friends and many of them did not like the way Hillary was treated. They talked about it often during the primaries.

I have no doubt that the conversation would have been mush different if Hillary had won the nomination...no doubt at all.

by the way they did not bash her to death...Bash yes ...again the OS did.
just my 2 cents..... if the primary had been McCain against Hillary to get the nomination, it's probably safe to say that some McCain supporters would have been doing the Hillary bashing.... one side will always attack the other when they are in direct competition (just look at the the anti-McCain/Palin and anti-Obama/Biden threads out there now). So making a decision on who to vote for based on the shabby treatment of a handful of people on an internet messageboard might not be the best course of action. If you've researched both sides and found one candidate's platform/policies fall more in line with your views, then more power to ya.

but I'd have to echo a previous poster in that I'm not sure how McCain's platform is closer to Cinton's platform than she would be to Obama. That being said, I'd be interested to hear your take on why Hillary would fall closer to McCain than she would to Obama.

See this is one of the reasons that I am not voting for Obama also...is all the HATE that is being spit out by so many Democrats....how dare any of you tell me who I should and should not vote for....and throw insults at me because i am not doing as you asked.

as for the HS that have always been in here bashing me for my decision....you are doing the same thing to me that OS did to us as HS.....the same thing.....the hate is disgusting.

I have been voting many years and pick who I CHOOSE . Neither candidate is great ......but at least I am not and never have bashed anyone for voting for Obama....never....i may have said things about the supporters and Obama that were not nice at all....but never have I TOLD ANY OF YOU THAT YOU WERE BASICALLY CRAP FOR YOUR DECISION.....

KIKI sorry that you dont like my sign but it is going in my yard not yours....and as far as I am concerned.....Hillary would respect my choice to vote.

First my decision is not based on just shabby treatment....give me some credit....I have been following politics and voted since I was 18...I am soon to be 51....
As I mentioned.....I am a moderate with a lean to the left......I am not a staunch Democrat...neither is Hillary. McCain is a Moderate with a lean to the right.

Hillary is a Moderate with a far lean to the left...farther than me. I did not agree with everything Hillary had to offer however I believe that she could cross party lines and get done what she said.

I have all plans after this election to register as a Independent...and if Hillary runs in 2012 than I will be out there campaigning for her. And I will than re register as a DEM.

I have lost all respect for the DEM party...after what it has done to fix this election. I was happy with Obama in the beginning till everything that came to light.

For anyone to insult me because of my choice is rediculous.....

I get why some are upset....I do....and it is only a couple of the original posters. The others have respected my choice and other HS that have decided to vote for McCain and we respect there choice to vote for Obama.

There are some here that wont vote and others that are still up in the air....but when it all comes down to it we do all have one thing in common....and that is Hillary.

What you're voting for is an aging man with questionable health who may or may not be able to survive the stress of a 4 year term.

I was willing to suffer through a McCain presidency if it came to that. I think there is the possibility that he might be an okay president - or at least not any worse then Obama.

But his pick of Palin and her radical right wing stance on so many issues frankly sickens me. Combine McCains questionable health, Palin's obvious willingness to break rules to force her way, her complete ignorance, and the support she continues to get from a segment of the population I have no respect for. I don't want that woman anywhere near the White house, not even as a maid.

I disagree. 4 years as VP is going to make Palin a much stronger candidate and make it harder for Hillary. Unless McCain's presidency is a total and complete failure.

And the possibility that Palin might wind up as POTUS as a result of McCains health? Not a chance I'm willing to take. .

Sadly I feel the same about Biden. I dont like the fact that he is "in Bed" with all these Credit card companies...and no where to be found these days...in DC (he is one of the 3 Democrat Senators to vote for the Bankrupcy bill that SOLEY Sides with the CC companies). Also I dont think I can ever forgive him for his major blunder concerning Anita Hill, this caused Clarence Thomas to get through to the SC.
Besides...he too has been saying some pretty dumb things throughout the campaign! TV in 1929!!!!!:lmao: That leads me to think he is either really dumb or such a liar, he dont realize that some of the things he says is so crazy!

PS Also what burns me with "Mr I would have voted against the war" Obama...when the FISA bill came up he SWORE he would vote against it. He voted for it!!!!:scared1:

To me I KNOW what I am getting with in McCain. Obama is still after all this a enigma to me.

She's smart???????????? :scared1:

Have you seen the interviews?
Have you looked at her educational background?

:lmao: No she didnt come across the interviews well at all. BUT I also think the questions she was asked were a bit obtruse. The problem here is MOST people (including myself) never heard of the Bush Doctorine either. So she will get a pass for that.
And quite frankly it wasnt Katie Courics shining hour either. I cant wait for the VP debate! That will give me much better insight.

I think maybe it'd be wise If I just don't come back, period.
!

You and me both.

:flower3: :flower3: Pretty please with sugar on top...come back!:flower3: Both of you!

You and me both.

I am sorry that you both feel that you need to leave because we are not on the same base. I cant stop you.

There is no reason why we still cant talk about what is happening in this election. I have no problem with what you say about McCain and how you dont like him or palin.....

But I do have a problem with your insulting me on my choice. I have no problem if you vote Obama....that is your choice also and I will not bash you for that....I would not do that.

I will take the picture of my sign down so you dont have to look at it.

KIKIfan I know that really bothers you so consider it gone.

there it is gone...you may want to remove it from your quote.

peace out:hippie:

I'll bet my life you would not mention planes from Russia flying over ALASKA and vice versa as relevant to her foreign policy exprience. Now would you, Dis? ;)
She's a dolt. :upsidedow

I missed that!:confused3 What did she say?

Granted as the Governor of Alaska, there is some Russian interaction, but not enough to claim any of it as "Foreign Experience"

One footnote! On CNN' tonight they talked about how the press all but ignores Bidens mistakes, which are far more than Bidens.
I think we may be on Equal Foorting here. I will wait for the Debates.

Q = Couric's questions
A = Palin's answers

Q. You've cited Alaska's proximity to Russia as part of your foreign policy experience. What did you mean by that?
A. It's, it's funny that a comment like that was kind of made to caric... (pause)... I dunno. Reporters.
Q. Mock?
A. Yeah, mock, I guess that's the word, yeah. Um (pause)...
Q. Well, explain to me why that enhances your foreign policy credentials.
A. Well, it certainly does, because our, our next door neighbors are foreign countries. They're in the state that I am the executive of...and they're in Russia...
Q. Have you ever been involved in any negotiations, for example, with the Russians?
A. We have trade missions back and forth. We, we do. It's very important when ,when you consider even national security issues with Russia as Putin rears his head, and, and, uh, comes into the air space of the United States of America. Where do they go? It's Alaska, just right over the border.unquote...

Is that embarrassing enough?

Her interview was not the best and there was more to it than just that statemen.....and Dont forget all the Biden mistakes.

We will need to wait to see how the debate goes...she has had at least 20 debates when she was running for GOV and she wiped the ground up with them......she killed her opponents in the debates.

That is one of the reasons she won as GOV. Don't underestimate her yet.

she is not a stupid woman and she can hold her own.....but as an Obama supporter you best hope she does and does not stand her ground to Biden because if she does it will make Biden look even less worthy if such a stupid non experienced woman comes out at the least even.

It is no secret she is less experienced than Biden....of course she is....and everyone knows that...even the republicans....but that is not the point during the debate..... of who is smarter between the two of them in foreighn policey, we know the answer to that already...it's is she strong enough and smart enough to become all the McCain says she is and will be.

You can not honestly think she is a stupid woman.....she would not be where she is know if she was. She may not be our cup of tea but she is no dumbbell.

Have you seen this? David Letterman counts the number of "UH'S" spoken by Obama in one interview. Hilarious ..

http://72.14.205.104/search?q=cache:dvl3bZjEX1EJ:obamasgaffes.blogspot.com/2008/09/can-obama-speak-lets-count-uhs.html+obama+uhs&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=9&gl=us

Yes, his "uhhs" are distracting. I didn't notice any during the debate, though.

Palin has had two interviews, and blew both of them. I mean, you know, Alaska borders two countries so her diplomatic experience is overwhelming. You can see Russia from an Alaskan island, and the plane comment. :sad2:

Yea I know and Biden(who I do like) says there is TV in 1942 during the last Stock Market crash Pres. Roosevelt went on TV and calmed everybody....Biden said that dozzy right after he said to Katie that the people need to know they can trust in what there leader says......:lmao:
.also that Hillary would have made a better VP than him and she should have been picked instead....and also how the AD that obama approved about McCain was terrible.....and if it were him he would not have done it and he has no idea what Obama was thinking at the time and so on ...he had a great interview with Katie also......:rotfl2:

Lets be sure not to throw stones in glass houses...also dont forget dont try to take a stick out of someones eye when you have a board in your own...

They have all made errors...all of them....and some dozzies...

and I expect they will make a lot more.

Yup it is embarrasing how she answered it!!!!! But not untrue! Alaska has always been considered a "look out" for any Russian activity. What she really should have stated was the details of what as the Alaskan Governor has to do in relation to foreign government, as opposed to the Governor of Kansas.

I also think her 'accent' dont help her at all. Sounds like a cast member from Fargo! For me, a Brooklyn bred & Born, this just sounds funny to me. Not dat I's aint gotz nowa aKsint or nutin!

BUT I know a little about how TV Interviews can go, the interviewer does set the mood & tone. Alot is going on in the background. Heck they could have had tacs on her seat, or a whoppie cushion. There are a lot of tricks of the trade. I heard that there was one interviewer if they didnt like someone they were interviewing, would actually eat lotsa of gasey foods before the interview, and sometime step in dog poop right before the cameras went on!!!!:lmao:

As I said before, this woman has had sooooooooooooooooo much Mediia Mud thrown at her in such a short time (even I know her menstral cycle and when she had bodily fluid accidents:eek: ).......when Obama (the other new political newbie)has virtually walked away without any media bad press at all and no one asks him any real questions..and WORSE even when he gives a stupid answer thay let him slide on it. WTH?????:headache:

Because of this, I will give her the benefit of the doubt for now. I really want to see her in the debate.

What was REALLY SAD, was the other day on CNN, some Political pundit was screaming how Sarah Palin said she can see Russia from her house. AND NO ONE CORRECTED HER. Thats what is sad. A Late night comidian says something and people "In the know" report it as fact, and people believe what they hear. :scared1:
Sarah palin NEVER SAID THAT!

BTW Has Katie ever asked Obama about his "Foreign Experience"?:rolleyes1

PS Before McCain announced her. I googled her name. NOT ONE BAD thing could be found on the internet about this woman. She also had a 90% Approval rating from the Alaskan people. That says alot in my book.

I wonder what Obamas Approval rating was from the people of Illinois???

NOOOOOOOOO even worse he said thar FDR did that in 1929!!!!!!!!!!!! Everything he said in that statement was ALL WRONG.

Might as well said that he saw clips for The Revolutionary War and General Benjamin Franklin on YouTube!

DISUNC,
I don't know if you've seen this clip of Biden, but you must check it out. He claims that he goes to local African-American communities trying to convince “black men” to wear condoms. It truly boggles the mind.
