Hillary supporters Unit #3 ..yes we are still here!
So thought I would do a stroll around the CB to see what was new on there....all over the CB there are threads on Palin and McCain and on everyone of them there are the OS trashing everything about them just as was with Hillary...I dont mean debating but trashing :confused3

Can't the OS debate without trashing. So many OS ..not all ....seem to not be able to help themselves. Than they wonder why we and so many fight back with them. Why is it that they have so mush trouble with our vote...as if we don't vote for Obama than we are bad people.

I understand that they are so devoted to Obama ...and that is fine with me....I am glad that they have there choice and that they are dedicated to it....but why find the need to trash us that have not yet.

I don't get it. I mean as much as we all wanted Hillary we were not obsessed with her in the same way the OS are. I jsut don't get it popcorn::
Oh please, the Dis has been all trashing Obama all the time for the last several months. I know that the sound of Obama being trashed is like music to your ears, but don't be hypocritical. And if we're so awful why do you keep coming over to our thread?

I gave up trying to "get it" It isn't even worth it anymore, IMO

What I don't understand is why don't they (general they) instead of trashing Obama's opponent, talk about the positive things about Obama.
And please not just the hope and change and how he is not another Bush (neither is McCain no matter how you paint it).
I mean tell me the positive things about Obama's platform and his stand on the issues and don't get upset if I (or anyone for that matter) don't agree on all of his platform (like abortion!)

Despite what some OS think they know, deciding to vote for McCain was NOT an easy decision for me. I researched and research BOTH Obama and McCain on the issues and their past political dealings, not to mention questionable dealings on BOTH sides. It was after a LONG and thought out process that I came to the decision I feel better about voting for McCain then I do Obama.
I do not agree with McCain on 100% of the issues, I do not agree with Obama on 100% of the issues. It came down to what issues matter most to ME. In the end the answer was McCain.
I came to this decision long before Palin OR Biden for that matter was in the picture.
Now if Obama would have offered Hillary a VP spot would I have voted for him. My first thought is "no" but honestly I just don't know, it would have been very hard to pass up NOT voting for Hillary Clinton on a ticket even if it was as a VP. I guess now I don't have to worry about that anyway.

Grant it I view myself as a Democrat but I don't agree with everything they stand for and I even have some views that may seem more Conservative to some :scared1: Shocking I know!

Despite the fact that you guys keep trying to tell her otherwise, GotDisney isn't 100% on the McCain bandwagon and could easily cast her vote for Obama come November. She probably keeps going over to find out what's going on and to see if there's anything being said that could sway her vote back in your direction.

I am talking more about trashing the posters. I hardly see anyone from this thread go into the obama thread and trash Obama....but when I go over there all I see is thst the HS are doing this and saying that ...and most of the times words are added that none of us have said.

I have found that many of the OS do that in any thread that is not pro Obama.

That is a fact...thanks for stating that for me...not that they believe that. And not that it should even care to them anyway. I don't get why so many OS care so much about how we vote...if we vote with them we will be there bestest friends but if we don't we are the Evil carnet(sp).

I get how they are questioning how a DEM of Hillarys would not vote for Obama due to the issues being similar...but what they don't get is why they don't get why after it has been explained for months and months. This all began in the Liberal thread ...funny how even there the DEM party split into 2....50/50/50...is where I stand...50 Obama/50 McCain/50 wont vote.

Oh and to add that the 50 for Obama is because the DEM side of me keeps me there....not the man.
Wanted to let you know that I added this to the first page....is it okay with everyonepopcorn::
I really like it. It explains our thread well. Good Job, Got Disney :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Doesn't look good for Sarah:

Palin booed for mentioning Hillary Clinton
Posted: 07:35 PM ET

WASHINGTON, Pennsylvania (CNN) – This might not be the best way to reach out to those disillusioned Hillary Clinton supporters.

In just her second appearance on the campaign trail with John McCain, newly-minted GOP running mate Sarah Palin was showered with boos on Saturday for attempting to praise Clinton’s trail-blazing bid to become the first female president.

As she did at in her debut speech in Ohio yesterday, Palin appealed to the women in the crowd here in Pennsylvania with a political shout-out to Geraldine Ferraro, who preceded Palin as the first women to be tapped as a vice presidential candidate. The reference was met with polite applause.

But in contrast with the mild reception that greeted the comment at the Ohio event, when Palin praised Clinton here for showing “determination and grace in her presidential campaign,” the Alaska governor was met with a noisy mix of boos, groans and grumbles around the minor league ballpark where the “Road to the Convention Rally” was held.

Palin quickly recovered, promising the audience that female candidates weren’t yet finished, and that she and McCain were on their way to victory in November.

Doesn't look good for Sarah:

Well, I'm not surprised. The more I read about her the less I believe she was choosen to appeal to the HC voters. I really believe that she was chosen to appeal to the religious-zealot-extreme-right-wing Republican.

I was hoping for Lieberman...

With Palin's choice, my frustration and disillusionment with this election cycle is complete......I look at those four and I just want to look away :scared:

sometimes I wish I could sleep until 2012 :guilty:

Thanks for taking the time to answer....

Funny ..I feel that Mccain would say or do anything to get elected and I think his VP choice is one example of that.

If you so deeply distrust obama , I don 't know what he could possibly do to change your mind.

I also think that the republican "free trade" ideas have lead to near disaster in our economy and the predatory lending we have seen that has ruined our housing market... artificially inflating housing prices to make them unaffordable and then screwing the people they gave the balloon mortgages to......

I agree with this poster and would like to add to his/her comments.

McCain has shifted his tactics to get elected again and again. I say this as one who once thought of voting for him and who, once, admired him. But he has decided to give up his centrist stance to pander to the right-wing nuts. I can't support THAT and I can't get over thr his age and health (particularly the latter). He might, at one time, have made a good leader. Not now and not after pandering the W for the last 8 years.

Perhaps, just perhaps, he SEEMS more trustworthy b/c he fits our image of what a good leader should look like: older white male with "normal" name (I'm talking movie and tv stereotypes, here). Maybe, that's the part of the "feeling" the above poster who thinks McCain seems like he means what he says. But, his actions over the last 8 years show he will do anything to get elected, even smooch up to folks he absolutely blasted in the past. He also has a very bad temper, a point many, many opponents remarked on in the primaries.

I wish he had picked Lieberman also...he would have had my vote. I listened to Obama again today and all I herd was Hillary saying and so many others that none of his plans will work.

AS for the OP who mentioned McCain doing or saying anything to get a vote...well so does Obama and all other candidates...yes even Hillary. I still feel that McCain is more of a Independent/REP....but with his new VP I am not sure where he is heading.

I look forward to the debates. I hope they help

I feel so disgruntled I can't think straight. I need to watch a funny movie I do:thumbsup2

I just went on Rush's website to see what he was saying about Palin, and I see he is up to the same old hateful smearing. Look at the pic of Hillary and then the one of Palin next to her. I think this is totally distasteful. It would take a man to pit two women against each other. Read the comment as well.

Ooh this fires me up:mad:

never once did I say I trust McCain, I actually don't. Yes he will say anything to get elected (just like Obama).

But the sad fact is our next President will be McCain or Obama, so that is what it comes down to; who do I trust less. The answer is Obama. Sorry if that is not what some what to hear. That is the way it is with me.

So being sitting out is not an option for me nor is voting for someone like Nadar (talk about a joke!) My only choice to vote for someone is McCain

Like Hillary has said in the past "who do you want to take that 3:00 am call in the White House?"
Well, I sure don't trust Obama to answer it.
National Security is one of my main concerns; I have ZERO trust in Obama that he will keep this Country safe and know what to do in a National Security situation, IMO.
I won't take that chance and HOPE that Obama knows what he is doing.

IMO, he should have waited at least 4-8 years before he decided to run. People could have gotten to know him better, maybe even trust him a little more. Who knows? Of course with Obama's past maybe he does NOT want anyone to get to know him a little more. He figures the less people know about him the better

Good morning, Jackson's mom. I was just checking my email and I saw what you wrote. I was just discussing this topic with my husband. You pointed out that you do not trust Obama with National security, and that it is the most important point for you. It is for me as well.

I have my opinion of what I believe National Security stands for, bu I just want to ask you why do you trust McCain over Obama?

Please give me specifics. I am a Republican, and I have not decided on the person for whom I will vote. Talk to me.

Also What is his past people do not want to get to know? Is there something else about him we need to know?

That's disgusting and Hillary does not look like that.

Isnt Rush Limbaugh a "big fat idiot" as well as a drug addict?

It amazes me how people still worship the guy....

Many of my issues and concerns with Obama have been mentioned on here many times over.

I find it hard to trust a person as President when he has friends who are William Ayers, Tony Rezko, Rev Wright, Rashid Khalidi, etc. To me that is bad judgement. They always say the people you associate with says a lot about you. He has taken money to his polictial gain from terrorist.
If you are not aware of any of the people I named, all you have to do is google their names and you will find a load of infomation.

National Security: I feel Obama will rush out of Iraq just to prove a point. He will do it sloppy, leaving Iraq in a mess and open to Isalmist extremists in the future. As much as I want to see us out of Iraq, we MUST be smart about it and not something to rush into. Whether we should have even been in there in the first place isn't important now --- we are there and we must withdraw with intelligence. I am sick and tired of Obama saying he opposed the war from the start when he wasn't even in the Senate at the time. Quit telling me you opposed the war, we are there now and that is a FACT -- tell me how you are going to withdraw safely and just don't tell me a timetable.

The Taliban has been known to have small pocket cells in Iraq and of course Afghanistan, if we leave Iraq without it secured we are opening the door for the Taliban to grow and plot to attack America, again.

I don't believe Obama can withdraw and keep our Country safe. I believe he will be more worried about making himself look good and getting all the troops out, then making sure Iraq is secure before leaving, no matter how long it might take.

I trust McCain more with America's weakness and will foil any terrorist plots before Obama will. I feel Obama is naive about terrorist intentions and unrealistic about their capabilites. According to Obama Iran is a small country. Me, myself, small country or not I worry about Iran and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad!!!!

When Obama talks I hear fluff speechs and warm and cozy thoughts. Sure I would love to live in a World where everyone is friends and we have peace with one another. It will never happen, Obama can not make it happen, no one can make it happen.

If there is one thing 9/11 taught me is there will ALWAYS be groups/extremists who want us all dead --- off the face of the Earth. Thinking we can make deals with these people is naive and foolish, IMO.

We need a President who KNOWS this and will always be on their toes and ready to attack if need be.

I feel Obama is not ready to be in charge of our National Security, Homeland Security or our military.

Some people agree with me, some don't. But it is one of the reasons I have come to terms how I can not vote for Obama.

My biggest problem with Obama is that he doesn't explain how he will finance some of these things he wants to do. I think that the current administration has spent disgracefully but I don't see where Obama plans to fix that problem.

I personally don't feel good about either of the candidates but McCain is a Republican and shows some pretty questionable judgment IMO. (Palin?) That is still keeping me in the Democratic camp.

You know Obama talks a very good talk. IF he could do everything he claims he will do, things would be good, although I personally do not care for his health care plan. The fact is he can't and he is just saying things to get votes (just like other politicians).

I read on Obama's own website (yes I do read both his and McCain's official website) that he wants to double our forgein assistance to 50 billion to help extreme poverty around the world. That is all good and I would be for it, IF OUR Country was not in such a crisis right now. We need to FIX OUR Country first before we can go around the World and help Africia or Asia with their poverty, IMO

I agree. I think that our country is our first priority. I'm sitting here just stewing over the poor condition of the Mississippi River levees for example. That needs to be done and needed to be done yesterday.

Sigh... I just don't know. :sad2:
