Hilarious SWA booking story

Well not to me.... Anyway. Logged on this morning at 6AM to book our flights for spring break. Dates not open yet. Keep hitting refresh for the dates to open up. EVENTUALLY they open. Trying to book all tickets using SWA points..... First I end up booking the wrong dates!!!! Yes, got right flight out, but WRONG FLIGHT HOME!!!! So quickly change that one. Cost me 8k more points (had to buy 4K more didn't have enough), and $65 to change the one way I didn't have enough points for originally. OK all is well right??? NO!!!! When I thought it was going to cost me 8K more, I buy 8K more points, but I was in my reservation and STILL logged into DH's SW account. Of course the 8k points go into his account!!!!!! $200 out the window. Going to call customer relations when they open at 8AM CT. Also, since I had done so many transactions, each person was charged twice for the point bookings, my CC got shut off!!!!! Had to use another one to finish up.......This should be a warning to all of you.... DO NOT BOOK SOUTHWEST WITHOUT CAFFEINE EARLY IN THE MORNING!!!!! I'm going back to bed........

OP, that's all too bad - but you're right. The story is funny. Does Southwest allow you to transfer points like :umbrella: some legacy carriers do?
 

You're a lot calmer than I'd be. Maybe it's the lack of coffee. :)

I thought I had booked down and back with Jetblue one ways. I had two windows open-one for each way. I learned that if you refresh any of the windows, it takes the information from the primary window. I ended up booking BDL to MCO on both depart and return dates! :scared:

I didn't know you can cancel for free within 7 hours of booking (not sure of exact time) and I did a change instead and paid the change fee!!:mad:

Moral of the Story If you're booking Jetblue one ways-use two computers! And read their cancel/change policy BEFORE you book!

So glad you got your money back. :) That's the great thing about SW. We just prefer JB now.
