So, yesterday around 3:30pm my front door starts rattling like there's someone trying get in. I was scared it was the creepy baby, but opened it anyway and it was my 7-year-old son who is in the afterschool program and shouldn't have been home until 6pm.

As they were heading to the aftershool program told one of the teachers that he needed to go find his lunchbox (that part is true, he did lose his brand new lunch box). When he couldn't find it, instead of going to the afterschool program, he snuck in the bus line and just came home. The school didn't know he was "missing" until I took him back.

Both the school and the son got a talking to.

When my son was in 4th grade, while walking home, he LOST his coat. It had warmed up so he had the hood on his head and the rest like a cape, it fell off...he didn't pick it up. Out the door we went and walked to where he LOST it.

Wasn't Disney considering a LOST theme for a revamp of Discovery Island? I think it used to be called Treasure Island before that...

My daughter's favourite restaurant has a TREASURE chest with crappy toys in it. That's why she named her cat Violet.

Smurfs are blue. Superman's costume is mostly blue. One of the variants for the new Superman has deleted the briefs (showing a clear Disney link to Donald Duck) so now Superman looks like a smurf with a tattoo.

Yesterday I went to pick up my 7 year old son from the after-school program and the director told me he wasn't there. I freaked out a little bit. She started calling the school, the bus company, etc. Meanwhile one of the art teachers walked in and asked me what was wrong. I told her Nathaniel was missing and she looked at me like I had lost my mind. She had just seen him eating a snack a few minutes earlier. Sure enough he was there and playing quietly (he's a pretty quiet child - at school anyway). I was NOT happy that the director didn't know he was there!
