High wait times today in MK?

Here's why FP+ is impacting things so badly( and I'm generally a fan). We're at MK today. It's a mob scene. The wait for Mickeys philharmagic-- which rarely has a wait-- was horrendous, because people who couldn't get any other FP this morning got one for this ride. The FP line was out the door, the standby line barely moved in 30 minutes, when normally the whole line would have emptied--twice,since the show lasts around 15 minutes. Our fp for splash got cancelled becausethe ride wasdbut to disney's credit, they sent an email replacing it with a fp for any of the biggies after theoriginal time.

And, the weather is PERFECT for the MK today. 73, sunny and no humidity. Glorious. These crowds are terrible though!!

Yikes! I remember when the Philharmagic FPs were just a surprise FP I never ended up using. We're heading over Friday evening and I'm guessing I'll only get to use our 3 FP+ before leaving.

Was at AK this afternoon for a few hours and it was packed, shoulder to shoulder - even after the parade when it normally empties out.

Wife and I agreed it was the most crowded we've ever seen it, and that's saying something since we've been going 12 to 15 times a year since it opened.

Didn't help that EE was 101 for a while, although I don't know how long.

Safari was 75 minute standby at 4pm when it's usually a walkon.

Closing was extended from 7 to 8pm as well. And a steady stream of people were still coming in when we left around 6.

We decided this was our last visit to a park until after Easter.

I know there are a lot of Michigan schools on break now and have been seeing lots of a Disney posts.

I'm a bit nervous for we are headed there for the weekend! I feel confident we have a good TP but yikes....

I've been watching the wait times too and looking at crowd calendars to get some perspective. Calendar for TP yesterday was waaaaayyyy off:

At Magic Kingdom we predicted a crowd level of 4. The actual crowd level was a 9
At Epcot we predicted a crowd level of 2. The actual crowd level was a 7
At Disney's Hollywood Studios we predicted a crowd level of 2. The actual crowd level was a 5
At Disney's Animal Kingdom we predicted a crowd level of 5. The actual crowd level was a 9

To me this is a distressing post.

I've got a friend headed down there today. I warned him.

Try to pull up weather conditions forWDW on Weather Channel app or something similar when trying to monitor and compare daily wait times. It can sometimes help explain unexpected trends going on for a day or two.

I saw this as well. Funny cause they usually are not that way off. Maybe one or two points but not from a 4 to a 9!!! I was looking around on the site to see if maybe they posted any info but couldn't find any. Curious to see what happens today!
