We know there are issues in the immediate surrounding areas but in the middle of the campus you do not know you are even in a city. And GT has its own police force (not campus police). If we were worried about safety as the primary decision maker, he would live at home and study at Fairfield University five miles away. You cannot figure safety. NYC, VPI, Boston, Columbine, Newtown (where we live next to) there are just too many insane people out there willing to hurt you. And he was the CT Tae Kwon Do Champion so if attacked he knows how to defend himself.
