High crowd prediction party day

we are going to dw aug 14-18 and were planning on doing MK during the day of the MNSSHP in order to dodge some of the crowds (my girls are terrified of fireworks anyways and need to stick to their early bedtimes). I was shocked to see that TP raised their crowd level to a 4 that day for MK, and the Saturday is just one more at a 5! The day clocked in at a 1 this past year. Any thoughts? I know it’s not accurate but it just seems bizarre when everyone talks about how much lower crowd levels are on a party day. I’m wondering if it’s worth it, not even so much for thr crunch to be out by 6 but because rope drop would (anticipated) be at 7am and we need to do rd to get to all those princesses.

You're talking about 2019, right? Note, there's no guaranty that MNSSHP dates will be the same next August. This year the first MNSSHP date was Friday 8/17 - the earliest ever MNSSHP. In 2017 it was Friday 8/25.

It's possible they follow the same pattern in 2019 (which would put the party Friday 8/16), but that's just a guess/speculation until they announce dates later next year.

Party days are typically lower crowd days, but I'd suggest mid-August is still prime vacation time (particularly for the Northeast US) so you have that influence on crowds. Also the first party always draws a large crowd (this year the first party sold out), so 4pm+ can be quite busy.

You have a lot of time to plan, I'd be tempted not to worry about it for now - lots of time for things to change.

7 a.m. rope drops are very rare at times other than Christmas, Easter, and Thanksgiving. Why do you anticipate a 7 a.m. rope drop in August??

I think OP may have been thinking/looking at this year's first party date, which was a Friday and had 8am-6pm park hours and 7am-8am EMHs. Or at least that's the best I can figure.

Yes, that’s it exactly. It seems like on the party dates this summer thus far, park opens at 8 and morning emh is at 7.

Aug 14-18? 2019? TP's crowd calendar isn't even showing parties that far out.

They do have them anticipated when you put that date in.... I’m looking right at the screen and see it... I know I’m guessing Disney will do the same as this year’s calendar but judging by feedback of how crowded the first mnsshp was, I don’t know if they would actually shorten the run of it.

I think you are worrying too much. Party days are typically less crowded in the morning than non party days. I have never been to any park for EMH, and still have found normal park opening times to give plenty of opportunity to get through a lot of attractions.

The MK will get more crowded in the afternoon, but if you anticipate that and plan around it you should be okay.

"Park Hours unreleased; these are predicted hours and schedules" Crowd levels get updated when party dates are released. No need to worry.
