HI ALL!
Just back from HIFS and sorry to say another Fun, Warm, Homey Place is going the way of the Dino.
Saw the MODEL for the NEW AND IMPROVED NICK HIFS and was not impressed.
The HIFS is truely showing it's age a little and the food is sliding but the theme of the Resort seem to me as the same concept of "The Big Guy" of family entertainment , Walt Disney, who would have wanted his Resorts to be.
What I mean is walking into the lobby where the nooks and crannies have character and don't reach out and shock you or stun you with color. At the eateries chairs and table are movable and manipulated by guests to customize their experience eating or drinking. Or rubbing elbows with strangers and help you find what ever at the buffet breakfast, but that is the way you meet new friends.
The HIFS grounds now have wild life guest take a minute to gander at before and after meals.
Some HIFS guest like noisy pools and others like quiet pools, not at the future HIFS.
I did appreciate the staff of HIFS of the past 5 days but I wonder if anything with a NICK theme which is of shallow family values quality can match the niche of HIFS of today or the past.
I wonder if the original owners will move on to the Orange Lake Resort.
One Diser's option.
"THE MAGIC HAPPENS!!!"
