Hide Out on CC

The title is pretty funny if you're not familiar with the teen activities. It certainly got the attention of everybody here!
This has definitely given me a good laugh for the afternoon. :rotfl:

Trespassing would be a likely charge I'd think.

Well according to a few people on here it's no laughing matter

Some folk are just to serious especially with been on a Disney forum and all

I would like to think the police have more serious things to be getting on with

I'd really not want to be messing with police in a foreign country. Don't want to test whether it's "serious" or not.

No, what's not a laughing matter is joking about being arrested. Not mis-interpreting what the title of the thread is about.

DS is old enough to do some (limited) exploration of CC without Mom & Dad 'watching over his shoulder' (or so he says). We've no experience with the Hide Out on CC and was wondering what is available there (WIFI, games, ...nothing much?) for him to do. Any info or pictures would be much appreciated. Thanks!!

I dont have any photos that don't have CMs being human in them, so cant really help there, but its pretty much a big deck and sand area. In Teen hideout itself there volleyball, soccer, table tennis, music, hammocks, card games...But its more of a meeting place and somewhere for them to drop their bags. Throughout the day theres 2 CMs there and 2 with the kids. some kids just sit there and chill all day or play volleyball, others go by and ask where the main group has gone: pelican plunge, food, ice cream, bikes, scavenger hunts...
I dont know about wifi, but the wave phones usually work and the CM based at teen hideout will/should have one with them.

There is volleyball, tetherball, ping-pong, , a phone for CM use, hammocks only for teens, card games. The Vibe CMs will try to encourage teens to sign-up for the Wild Side teen excursion, so when that is occurring the Hide Out is empty. At one point there is a Edge take-over in which Edge competes against Vibe playing a game (tag, capture the flag, something like that). Also, even without the paperwork to get off by himself your son can get back on the ship by himself (and thus can get back on when the Vibe CMs get back on). It is mainly a place to relax and meet up with friends similar to Vibe onboard. It is easier to set a time to meet somewhere either on the island or onboard versus trying to rely on wifi or messaging

Has anyone ever missed the ship on CC before and needed to stay there
I seriously doubt it. When we were there, I wanted some pictures without guests in them. My son and I waited until areas cleared so I could get them. There were CMs who were checking all areas and they understood what I was doing and we just tagged along with them. It was fun and we even got to see the resident island cat. We were some of the last guests to board the ship. Just like closing the parks each night, they are very thorough in clearing each area.

Sad part is after Irma there may not be much of CC left. :worried:

There really isn't a lot for Irma to destroy. The main damage down by hurricanes is wind, there isn't anything tall there, and water, all of the buildings used by passengers are meant to flood. I wouldn't worry too much.

I'm afraid I can't provide any advice for you about the activities on CC for kids.

I just wanted to say when I saw the title of your thread, I thought it would be about staying on Castaway and finding a way to hide out there so you never have to leave. I understand that impulse!
I thought the same thing.
