We were at WDW in late June and had fun trying to find hidden mickeys. My daughter (7) found a few that I didn't see.
I had also read that there were "hidden open dates" in the parks. We found 3 of the 4:
Magic Kingdom - The fire station on Main Street is Station No. 71 (park opened in 1971)
Epcot - In Living with the Land ride, the address on the mail box in front of the farm house has 82 or 1982 on it (park opened in 1982). I tried to get a picture of this, but it didn't come out -- if anyone has a picture I would like a copy (we are making a scrap book of the hidden mickeys and other items we found.
Animal Kingdom - The highway sign in Dinoland is route 498 (park opened in April 1998).
We couldn't find one in Disney/MGM Studios. I assume there is a "hidden open date" some where. Can anyone help on where it is? Thanks.
We also found some other fun items, for example:
In the Main Street train station on the ground floor in the center (near the information desk) there is a shelf on the wall above the "baggage claim" room. This shelf has items like: Alladin's Lamp, Pluto's bone, etc.
Or, in the Frontierland train station there is a shelf in the waiting room area that has a wooden leg (among other items) on it. The leg has the name Smith on it (you have look for it). Any Mary Poppins fan will recognize this "joke".
Or, at the exit of the Jungle Cruise there is a large black board with list of missing persons and boats. The names are like: Ben Eaton for people, and Run Aground Sue for boats.
Thanks for any help on the picture from Epcot or the date in Disney/MGM Studios
