My family has never, ever looked for or seen a hidden mickey. I was thinking this might be a fun(and inexpensive as opposed to pin trading which we are into) hobby to get into.

So tell me, how does one go about this? Are there sheets you can get that tell you the approximate area to find these? I thought I read at the resorts they have some sort of handout. As you can see, I'm clueless :o regarding this.

Clue me in!

Around parks and resorts they can tell you where to spot a few.Just observe things around you and you will spot some on your own and that's more fun than having them pointed out to you.Ask a CM how many hidden Mickeys are in a attraction then see how many you can spot.:D

On this site you will find information on Hidden Mickeys in the Parks. There is also a book out now about Hidden Mickeys.

Hidden Mickeys," a new book by Steven M. Barrett, author of our best-selling "The Hassle-Free Walt Disney World Vacation."
"Hidden Mickeys" is the first guide book devoted entirely to the fun and excitement of hunting for-- what else? --Hidden Mickeys. Steve has arranged the book into six separate scavenger hunts, one for each of the parks and one for the hotels, restaurants, and other public areas of WDW. Steve gives cryptic clues to nearly 400 Hidden Mickeys, plus more detailed hints if you get stuck. A handy index lets you search for Hidden Mickeys wherever you happen to be. Grab a copy for everyone in your party and you can turn these scavenger hunts into a fun, friendly competition!

Thanks safetymom!

That book sounds like just what I'm looking for. Anybody know if they sell it on Disney property-like in a resort gift shop?

Also, was I dreaming about some kind of hand out about hidden mickey's at the resorts?

This is great info! Thanks!

I didn't see it in WDW when I was there last week but I really wasn't looking. I did see it at Borders Books here in town.

It's not an official bok I don't believe so you will have to get it beforehand. It is a great book! You can also get a printed copy of a list of hidden mickey's around the resorts from your hotel. Just ask at guest services. This is what we used to use before the book. Some resorts even have a hidden mickey hunt you can go on. AKL and WL both offer a list you can look for.

Less than one hour ago we left DAK Lodge after spending all day with our Hidden Mickey Safari sheets handed to us by CM behind the Guest Services desk.

If they do it others may as well.

GO have fun!

Cool guys! Thanks!

Anybody know if CBR has those handouts?

I'm gonna look for the book this week though.

My 11yo DD and I used the new Hidden Mickeys book last weekend at WDW and had a great time. She even let me go on some of the slower attractions just so she could look for the hidden Mickeys. I bought my copy online at:

We use the Passporter Guides and I happened to see this the last time I ordered a new guide.
