Hidden Image at Spaceship Earth?

WOW!!! How enlightening! I am glad I waited to see it.

UGH!:sad2:
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Are you sure that this is from Haunted Mansion? I don't remember this ? ? Not to mention, it looks really cheap ? ?

It looks to me like Phantom Manor in Paris - the Ghost Host. This is why we don't want flashes - you can see how cheap it looks in the real light. In the dark that character is freakin scary!

I'm trying to find a video on the YouTube...many rule breakers over there too with their external lighting! Tsk tsk.

Ok, DIS is finally working again so I can add this. It is from the phantom manor. Here's how he should look when he doesn't get the flash treatment.

And the link to the YouTube video I pulled that image from http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWgThFgmiFE&feature=relatedThe Ghost Host is right around 2:00 in.

The book has been written and the tease has been put out there, so no doubt the picture already exists. And IF it is something interesting :confused3, sure, I'd like to see it. The problem people have on this thread is suggesting to a mass audience that they take pictures in a dark ride. There's a reason why Disney has the rule...it's disruptive to the other guests. No, I don't want my enjoyment of an attraction disrupted, and apparently, it doesn't need to be...at least one picture already exists.

BTW...didn't see any begging. Just curiosity. And why not?? :confused3 It's not like The Unofficial Guide telling you to pull the rope outside the Indian Jones attraction and not telling you why. You're allowed and encouraged to do that. Taking the picture is something many people, thankfully, don't want to do, because you're not supposed to. And since we've read this thread, and aren't going to take the picture, then we'd like to know what it's all about.

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

OK, so the photo displayed wasn't what the hidden image is. Good, cause that's be a waste of breaking the policy, wouldn't it? :rotfl:

I still don't know why they tell people to take a flash photo on a dark ride when you aren't supposed to do it. :confused3

I break a policy on every WDW trip but I would never tell others to do it also. It is a highlight of every trip for me but I still wouldn't tell anyone to do it. And my doing it doesn't mess anyone's turn on an attracion that they may have stood in line to do either. I think this is just a rude suggestion.

Kind of like, go to the movies and start talking a aloud and discuss the movie when you feel the need to ask a question and have it answered. Who would suggest that? To me, that's what this is like.

uuuuuummmmmmmm, I somehow think that may not be the right picture however, I do see a similarity to the "shocker" hand symbol.........a funny Imagineer may have placed this there and it went unnoticed but appropriate for a "tips & tricks" family book? Not to mention I doubt many of the more mature and adult group on here or at Disney either care or want to know the reference behind that symbol........Maybe, but I doubt it. Found it funny though!!
Have a Magical Day!!!

I had to be held back this week not to reach forward and hurl another guest's camera out of the boat because they clicked off flash photos on POTC like every 2 seconds. RUDE!!!

Same here! We went a few months ago and the people in the row in front of us on POTC were taking flash photos right when the ride started, so I knew it wouldn't be enjoyable right off the get-go. Then they started taking pictures of each other, which involved scooting to the front of the seat, turning around towards the person, and taking a flash photo of them. We were behind them and the flash was blinding and we couldn't see anything else. Finally my dad screams "Put the camera away or turn the stupid flash off!" And it worked. The rest of the boat thanked him later :rotfl:. It was so frustrating and I would never do it.

I know what everyone is talking about. I was a person that I took a flash picture just as we went by the caveman scene, and I know what the answer is. It showed up on the digital camera.

Do you all really want to know? If so, post, and then I will post the answer. Otherwise I don't want to spoil it for everyone that wants to try this.

I do!

Camno's Mom-I sent you a PM. I don't want to spoil it for others that may want to figure this out on their own. If I had better computer skills, I would send you a picture!! Sorry about that!

I want to know so people will read it here and not be taking pictures themselves.

Spoiler alert-Here is the answer if you take a picture opposite of the caveman scene at Spaceship Earth. Don't read this post if you don't want to know the answer.

Spoiler alert---

There are animal caveman drawings in black and red. There are also handprints that were made by putting hands on the rocks/wall, then spray painting around them. I am assuming these are imagineers signatures. There is also a drawing of a leaf, and quite a few red and black dots in a pattern that isn't anything specific. I have four animals in the picture I took, two of the animal drawings have antlers, and two do not have antlers. One is a spotted animal, and the other is shated by the head, then lightly dotted down it's neck.

Sorry I took the picture, but I am a huge fan of that book, and couldn't wait to see what I was missing. This is what I love about Disney, they spend the time doing things that will never been seen or noticed.

You'll have the picture of security escorting you out of the park for ignoring the rules*.
