Hidden Image at Spaceship Earth?

Well the author is Susan Veness, co-author of the Brit's Guide, whose husband regularly writes on the UK board, so you could always PM him and let him know what you think :) As a side note, the book she has written is a fantastic guide to the secrets of DW.

I may be mistaken, but the author used to be a moderator on the Disboards using the name Cleo.

its the shocker yall! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA awesome pic! i was getting ready to drive over ride it real fast, and take the dam pic myself until someone posted the pic. that is AMAZING! the shocker is officially everywhere!:rotfl::banana:

077.jpg

It is Wormtail's handprint. There is a part of his ring finger missing! :rotfl2:
(for those that don't get it, that was a Harry Potter reference)

what is it??? am I missing something?:confused3
I still don't know what I am looking at
:confused3:confused3I still don't see what the "secret" is supposed to be? :confused3:confused3
Wait is the hand the "surprise?" I dont see it!
:confused3
Yeah...I would be pretty ticked off if someone flash-photo'd & blinded me just to see THAT!
Whatever "that" is. Does anybody know yet? :confused3
I don't think one more photo-taker would make a difference at this point.
I do. And I'm glad to see so many people on this thread think so too! I hope you all are there next week on the dark rides when I am! :thumbsup2

Why don't they make the announcements anymore about "no flash photography"?

I don't understand what the author expects everyone to see that's such a big surprise. And if something is there why would Disney make the area dark enough that you can only see it with a flash?

Weird suggestion in that book...

Yes, that makes it tempting, doesn't it? My DD might know what that hand was but I wouldn't. And there's red on just like it over to the side with the ring finger partially missing so what's the big deal?

I agree it is a weird suggestion and even if they thought it would be fun why would they tell everyone in a book to go against WDW policy? :confused3 Makes you wonder about other things in the book they tell you to do.

Some how I think the photo posted on this thread isn't the same spot the author in the book is refering too.
I think the photo is of the Right side of the scene.
But the author was saying take of photo of the wall on the right.
As in the scene is on your left...turn right and photo the non decorated wall on your right.

Yeah, I don't think that's the picture. I'm assuming what the author is talking about is a Hidden Mickey. :confused3 Maybe it's in an updated version of the Hidden Mickey's book (it's not in the original). :confused3 Anyway, I've killed enough time looking at that picture  and I know I won't be taking one in the ride.

Interesting... Many calls for non-flash photos, and many (some the same) begging to see the photo, or learn the secret. Interesting... ;)

The book has been written and the tease has been put out there, so no doubt the picture already exists. And IF it is something interesting :confused3, sure, I'd like to see it. The problem people have on this thread is suggesting to a mass audience that they take pictures in a dark ride. There's a reason why Disney has the rule...it's disruptive to the other guests. No, I don't want my enjoyment of an attraction disrupted, and apparently, it doesn't need to be...at least one picture already exists.

BTW...didn't see any begging. Just curiosity. And why not?? :confused3 It's not like The Unofficial Guide telling you to pull the rope outside the Indian Jones attraction and not telling you why. You're allowed and encouraged to do that. Taking the picture is something many people, thankfully, don't want to do, because you're not supposed to. And since we've read this thread, and aren't going to take the picture, then we'd like to know what it's all about.

I don't mind so much on rides like small world etc. But on HM it really ruins the magic sometimes - and you know all the people end up with are awful photos like this (random google pic):

Which don't capture any of the magic at all!

Are you sure that this is from Haunted Mansion? I don't remember this ? ? Not to mention, it looks really cheap ? ?

Αλλά καταστρέψατε το αστείο και την πρόκληση για άλλους ανθρώπους. Λιγότερη διασκέδαση για άλλους επισκέπτες.

My Greek is non-existent, but I do know how to google!;)

" But destroy the fun and challenge to other people. Less fun for other visitors."
Is this about right?

Just tell us already!

Nosey Rosey:rotfl:

Pleaseeeeeeeee...............

OK Robo...by this I assume he/she PM'd YOU with the answer
and/or photo....
So now YOU must share.

By the comments I assume it's just a hidden Mickey.
But I'd still like to see it.
(but definately don't think it's worth taking the photo of and being that rude guest.)

Perhaps "begging" was slightly inaccurate. "Itching" to find the answer might be more accurate. Anyhow, I stand by my opinion, it's intersting...

You're kidding? That's who the author is? She and Simon both use to be Mods here at the DIS!! Susan (Cleo) use to moderate here on TPAS!!
