Hello WISHers. I always post on the Events and Competition section. I thought it would be nice to meet some of you guys over here on the main section.
My name is Dave but I go by the nickname Panda. We have a SkyWalker Dave on the E/C section and people kept getting us mixed up so I changed my sig to Panda.
I'm a walker and racewalker. My pretty princess. Erica, and I do our Disney races together. She is recovering right now from double bunion surgery. She should be back to training with me in a month or so.
I noticed that there were a lot of weight loss threads over here. I'm kinda committed to that also and have over the last 7 weeks lost most of the weight I wanted to. I have pretty much cut out meat except for fish and eggs. Lots of fish. I add drained canned tuna to soups and rice dishes. I eat lots of veggies and a whole grain breakfast cereal.
I was very fit most of my life but after retireing from the USAF in 1994 I just quit exercising and let my fitness slide. Then 6 years ago when I turned 50 I thought I better start back or I wasn't gonna be around very much longer. I had gotten to the point that washing my car window at the gas station would leave me winded.
We usually go to Disney twice a year, in Oct for the Tower of Terror race and then in January for the Marathon. We walk these races together. We usually spend about 9 or 10 days each time and drink way to much beer and eat way to much comfort food during that time.
Over on the the E/C section I'm the poster child for the You Ain't Right Club. See when people meet us they will say, "Erica is adorable, but that Dave, he ain't right".
Is it ok with you guys if I pop over and join in some of your threads and share some of my occasional ramblings? Y'all are welcome to stop by the E/C also.
Thanks for listening
