I just bought Denise Austin's Mat Workout based on the work of Pilates.

Does anyone have any reviews on this? Does it work? I just finished watching the whole DVD and I really like the movements in it.

Don't have an answer for you but just wanted to say welcome - and I love your name! Oogieboogie is one of my favorite characters!! LOL!!

anyhow -- I'm not sure if I've done that exact workout, I like Denise's workouts, sometimes I have to tune out her constant chatter, but I do believe in her workouts. Pilates will work and help you tone and get a "longer, leaner" type look. It does take a couple weeks to start to see a change, without knowing where you're at now physically. I felt stronger and more in control after about 2-4 weeks doing pilates twice a week. I like pilates b/c it does work and yet it's relaxing. I feel better when I do pilates and yoga b/c it keeps me stretching and more flexible. My abs are definately the strongest when I keep pilates in my weekly routine. PD -- enjoy it!
