I think MNFootballMommy went to a swim class. She popped up at the Tag Fairy thread on the CB board. She's on a roll... She got another tag. I'm sure she'll pop on by later.

I'm going to DW 1st week in April and have plans secured for the beginning and end of my trip but trying to secure a last minute pool home for the middle. Hope to finalize the arrangement today...if the lady confirms....

More than happy to mention it--I gotta take care of my fellow thread-killers! (Oh, I haven't mentioned that about myself in there--they might not invite me back! )

Congrats to everyone on their new tags... Christmas in March....

So I just wanted to update you on my shopping nightmares.... Well you can read my post "I am never going shopping again" to see how the weekend started. Then today I decided I had to get clothes or change legislation to allow nudity in FL. so DH went with me...... (He won't let me go alone anymore). We pull into the parking lot at Walmart to pick up a few grocery things b4 hitting the mall when the car starts to smoke.... Yep smoke... So off to the Monro shop in the parking area cause we could go anywhere else. The guys were great and fixed the radiator hose in about 2 hours and I then had to go pick up DD at a birthday party. Came home to eat dinner and off to the mall for a second try...

I got 1 pair of Docker shorts that look like capri's on me so if anyone asks they are capris, one pair of Karen Scott jean shorts, and one pair of banolinoblu jeans... More expensive than I would ever spend usually, but now I am just going to get one pair of navy blue shorts and bra's now....


Oh if you get the chance to try on the Bandolinoblu jeans, do it... I put on a 12 and the sales lady says, "Oh sweetheart those are too big on you". I was a 10..... (Haven't seen that number since I had mono Junior year in HS)...

I read through your thread and feel very sorry you went through that experience. Of all the things to happen! I can't blame you one bit for your reaction. My first thought would have been, "How do I protect my son and get out of there!" The least they could have done was call security and had him stand at the distance, making sure he wasn't going to hurt someone. No one can predict what an erratic person is going to do. Glad you're both out of there safely. Hope you can relax a little now.

A man came to our place of work, threatening, he didn't do anything. But I took him seriously enough to report him. I had to make a statement to an officer but at least I wouldn't have it on my conscience if he did do something. Better safe than sorry.

That's great you're a size 10! I'm going to keep those jeans in mind. I need to get at least 2 pairs of new jeans.

I won't forget my 1st tag! It makes me more witty than my listed tags.

Hope everyone one has a Great Day! I'm going to try shredding lots of junk mail. You know those cc applications they send in the mail. I can't get a handle on that. Every time I shred I get lots more in the mail and I'm back to square one. It's a shame...all that paper!

Morning, TKers! How's things? All is well here.

Took DD to McD's yesterday for a Disney Princess Happy Meal and scored with the Princess Aurora toy first thing, so we don't have to go again during this promo! Didn't win a stay in the castle or anything, but I bought postcards at the Post Office yesterday to mail in for YOAMD. The post office is definitely NOT budget! Between the postcards and some forever stamps, I spent more than I would like, but now I am ready for when the postage goes up again in May.

T'n'F--I read your story and I am on your side! The store should have been more concerned about what happened, if only to reassure the customers. I would continue to follow up and make sure that you take it as high as necessary to get a response from them! I hope the police report will influence them to take action in the future!

I agree that the Post Office is not budget. Some will say it's still a bargain but when you add the price to a roll or two in addition to all the other increases for every other service and goods under the sun you can't help but notice.

Thanks so much! The first and third are my favorites--they are "me." The middle one is okay, but not a fave. Not going to complain. I know I was lucky to get them.

Thanks for your well wishes. I can't wait to get to . It's been cold here and even mid 40's feels cold since I've kept the thermostat down this winter. It's been windy and every weekend has been damp and dreary. So, I'm ready and hopefully it will be even warmer when I get back.

A few nights of horrible sleep for me, and DH reassured DS that it was okay to be scared and that even he would be. The district manager called me today and told me he got a totally different story from the workers. I requested an incident report and letter of apology from the manager.. .

I am done shopping for my clothes for Disney and I am getting very excited. Only 25 days. Just need to make a first aid mommy kit for the trip. (Yep I am the Mom with everything)

Now I get to pack...

Glad to see all is okay with you and your DS. That's the thing about the boards. You need to be prepared for the unexpected. I grew up in NYC and never really got used to the stuff that I witnessed, happened to me or my family members. I was very wary of my surroundings and always keep that cautious mode wherever I go. Your DH is right. You had a right to be scared.

I remember once on the subway, all these people running into the car I was in from another subway car. I decided to get off the next stop. All these people had the same idea and crushed (flattened) me against the door. Waiting for the train to stop and the doors to open. Once we were at the station, all these die-hard NY'ers were running. I don't know why, but I was running too. Now, I laugh about it. Never did find out what happened. Maybe some kind of confrontation? Trust your instincts.

Enjoy your trip and the preparation is part of the fun....
