Hi, my name is Elaine and I'm a thread killer

I finished the game! At one point I felt like

the ending was beautiful....:sunny: :charac2:

Do I dare try another? Only time will tell. :upsidedow

Worfiedoodles, sorry I can't answer your ?

Usually, we rent a car and make a stop along the way. Hopefully, someone will come along with an answer for you.

Good morning, TTK's! Let's see...it's Wednesday, so I think I will start the day off by confessing a few things that ONLY you fellow tagless, thread killers on the DIS budget board would appreciate:

I don't own a Bagallini. I carry a backpack at WDW instead.

I don't own Crocs. I wear my tennis shoes to WDW. :scared1:

I consider my meals "budget" if I have all the ingredients in the house and don't have to make an extra trip to the store.

Well, that's enough for now...How about YOU? Any confessions YOU would like to make??:confused3

Hmm. Confessions:

I refuse to step foot in a retail store on Black Friday.

I own about 10 pairs of Crocs, drives dh nuts.

I rarely use coupons, and I insist on brand names for all kinds of things. Fake ding dongs just don't taste right!

Maria

Hi fellow TLTKk's,
heythere.gif

Hoping you had a great day. For me, eh, so-so at work...

Confessions, I'll bite:

I prefer a small backpack, I have no trouble forgetting it anywhere. When my wallet is in it, I definitely won't forget it.

I wear Airwalks in my house like slippers. I find $30.00 for Crocs is too much for me. I know there are discounts but I'm too lazy, Besides the Airwalks were buy 1 get on 1/2 price.

I like last minute Disney trips with the minimum planning. I guess I like living dangerously. ;)

I will confess also...

I have a fannypack in disney and I make DD carry the backpack. DH & DS are too lazy....

I only wear sneakers (walking shoe kind) all year long no matter what. Only exception is a must dress up school function. I have a neck/back injury and I am scared to try crocs...

If it doesn't have a coupon, or isn't on sale, its not in my house. My budget amount for food is so low that I can't afford anything else. I am the "queen of leftovers". Hope my kids both are independently wealthy as I am sure they will be leftovered-out when they leave my house:lmao: :lmao:

I purposely drive down a side street all summer long so that I won't be tempted by the Dairy Queen that is on the major road.. Even if I need to go to the store in the next plaza:scared1:

ok, deep breath.....
the first one really embarrasing, but hey, it's only us girls right?;)
i've worn crocs while carrying a coach bag ~ i get weird looks even tho i try to make sure the colors match :scared1:

with that off my chest, i can admit:
i have 2 bagallinis, 3 caymen crocs, 2 athens crocs (flip-flops). and my real addition: over 50 coach, LV, D&B, KS, & prada bags....shhh

i would rather have a good salad than greasy fries, but consider doing laundry "exercise". :confused3

i (literally) don't cook, but i have 2 full kitchens :confused3 . in my defense, the house came with two: we updated both but never changed one into a "regular" room.

this one is probably weird too: i really want to sell on e-bay or craigs list, then always wind up thinking how someone could really use the item(s), & just give it away (i enjoy giving stuff away on freecycle). even when DH was out of work, i just couldn't get myself to do it.:guilty:

& i think people are just being polite when they use the word enigma to describe others ;)

laurie:)

.
i really enjoyed playing it (tho i admit, i used the hints about 4-5 times) ~ thanks for sharing :thumbsup2
i think are a few shorter ones listed....i'm off to check it out :teleport:

laurie s :)

I must admit a few things:

I own 2 pair of crocs and my dh just got me some "fuzzy" crocs yesterday and they weren't even on sale

I too wear crocs while using a coach bag. I get strange looks too....

I make DH carry a backpack in Disney but was pressured to purchase a bagallini when it was on sale through the budget board. (pressured by no one but me, I wanted to fit in)

I use coupons for things I like as much as possible, but there are things that I will not give up for the sake of the budget, ie Tide, Dove soap and Coach purses. I buy the purses at the Coach outlet, does that count as budget?

Hi TLTK's :wave2: ,

Hope you had a great day. Mine was...ehhh.

Laurie,

Yeah :woohoo: sounds like you did well. I'm contemplating trying another one but I'm tired.

I can't blame you for wanting to splurge a little while at least keeping a budget in mind. I don't have a Coach bag, but if I really wanted one I wouldn't deprive myself either.

:guilty: boring day, or bad day?

i dunno what it is with bags: i can be wearing sweats, sneaks, no make-up (not a pretty sight), but adding a nice bag suddenly makes me feel like i'm "presentable" (probably b/c i'm hoping ppl are looking at the bag instead of me ;) ).

& yes, shopping at the outlet counts as budget (at least that's what i've convinced DH). i love the premium outlet near WDW b/c they have a coach and dooney :lovestruc

:guilty: boring day, or bad day?

Both, but hey it's a job. Plus, we're in a temporary office while they remodel our office and with 40 squished people in the same room, it gets....:headache: Half of them are nuts anyway.. I think office etiquette is a thing of the past.

here's an idea: while mushed shoulder to shoulder in the room:crowded: , squish your eyes really hard until you see flashing lights behind your lids, & start humming "wishes" ~ almost just like being there :cloud9: (& with a little luck, they'll want to give you lots of room :crazy2: lol)

Finally! A place to call home!
:wave2:
just pull up a chair, let me pour you some :drinking1 , & enjoy the popcorn::

btw, double coupons were used for the drinks & snacks (budget related, y'know;) )

YAY! So happy to find you all are still here. I have a cold/cough/yuck thing that kept me from checking in yesterday. So, today my head is only HALF full of grossness thus I am able to come and pester some more!

More confessions:

I start my Christmas shopping in January. Everyone in my family (except for about 2 people) knows better than to ask for a gift receipt for their gifts since I won't remember where or when I got it and it is probably past the 90 day return limit anyway! :lmao:

I re-gift, but only if it is something I think the recipient will really like or use.

I went for 11 years without a trip to WDW! :scared1:

I don't own any designer bags, but have a few 'knock-offs.'

I think wrapping paper is a huge waste of money and try to buy it only on clearance if possible.

I am a tagless threadkiller and proud of it! Welcome tholczer! It's safe in here!

Worfiedoodles: Did you ever get a response to your question? I personally have never had groceries delivered, but have been researching it for a family member going this summer. Allears has an entire page on it--check it out!

:wave2: TLTKs

MNFootballMommy,

I hope you're

gets better and you're up and about killing a few threads and staying away from those tags. :) Some of us have been trying to do our duty while you were gone..

:wave2: Not too far from the truth. My computer has a library of my parks music and other favs. I just hunker down, tune them out, do my job and go to my own la-la land....:music:

Hey, I'm all about coupons...when I remember to bring them along.

Thanks Vivianne!

I have the opposite problem--I make the purchase and then remember the coupon in my purse about two hours later! DUH!

:wave2: Fellow TLTK's, Budgeteers, Lurkers...Hope I didn't miss anyone.

Hope you have a nice weekend, we had some snow. So I know I won't be going out to buy unnecessary things. I'll wait to do that on vacation..:)

MNFootballMommy,

Hope you're feeling even better today. Drink lots of water, I find that really helps.

Laurie,

I couldn't resist and played Sphere (I did have to cheat some). It's graphics are similar to the Escape game. I may try another one today. Maybe it will help my brain function...:yay:

Well, this cold is definitely helping my Weight Watchers! Even after eating birthday cake and ice cream last weekend for DD's b-day, I still lost weight! Now that's how I want to diet! ;)

Lots of water and hot tea are keeping me going today. Today was a 'budget' day because I didn't 'feel' well enough to spend money!

HOLY GUACAMOLE! I got TAGGED! I don't know whether to be proud or embarassed!?!? Can I still come and play here? I finally felt like I fit in someplace and now this! I may no longer be tagless, but I am still pretty lethal to a thread!

Hi everybody! :wave2: Hope everyone has a mahvellos day!

Aw, Congratulations! Any accomplishment should be enjoyed! :goodvibes You still fit in. Just kill a few threads here and there. ;)

Budget Talk: It's already March and I'm going to have to start thinking about doing our taxes. Can't hold off too long....
