Hi everybody!! I'm getting married on November 27th, and I'm going on a Disneymoon!!! LOL I'm so excited I can't even stand myself! I'll be 5 months pregnant at the time, and my fiance has never been to WDW, so I want to show him the time of his life! Does anyone have any suggestions for surprises while we're there that are low cost or free? I know I had a friend that ate somewhere in EPcot, that had a diver come down and hold up a sign in a giant aquarium.. any clue what I'm talking about? I want to make this trip amazing from beginning to end!!

I'm so glad to be here, I am bouncing in my computer chair lol!!!

:welcome: I am pretty sure that the diver program is no longer done. It was at the Coral Reef reef restaurant in Epcot, but was discontinued a few years ago. You can ask on our restaurant board just to make sure, or do a search on that board for "Coral Reef" and you will probably find information.

There are lots of great magical moments at Disney that are free or low cost, but most of them can't be planned. Most things just happen as you encounter cast members, other guests, special moments etc... You can get a "First Visit" pin for him to wear when you check into your resort.

Check out our Disney Tips board and there are lots of ideas over there on things to do.

:welcome: and congrats on your upcoming nuptials!! I dont know whhat to really do there but have fun :thumbsup2 Oh and congrats on your bun in the oven:lovestruc

Welcome!

We went on a Disneymoon in November 2006 and had a GREAT time! So much so that we decided we would be going back every other year. Shortly after I got home I found the Disboards and found out about all the little special things we missed out on! So you are already one step ahead of me ;) I can no longer wait for every other year...we have been every year since!

Where are you staying at? Are you doing the dining plan? If you are, make sure you get some dining reservations. Also make sure its noted on your reservation that this is a first trip & a honeymoon! Several times at restaurants we were given special desserts and cards signed by the staff, just to tell us congrats!

Also, when you check in or get to your first park make sure you get your "just married" buttons. We also bought the bride & groom mickey ears. Every where we went people were congratulating us. A few times were were given extra fastpasses by CM's...once we were pulled to the front of a line.

Just keep in mind that nothing is guaranteed. Just being there on your honeymoon is quite magical...anything extra is just that... extra. However... advertising that its your honeymoon will help:lovestruc

Hope you have a great time in Disney!!!

Oh, and PigletsMommy... we are doing the Deluxe Dining Plan. Not sure where we're staying yet, we're not booking for 2 weeks, and I'm trying to choose the best moderate resort!!

A lot of people will tell you the DxDP is too much food... I happen to disagree  DH & I love to eat...and we really like sitdown meals.

Look into the signature dining restaurants (they use 2 credits per meal) so that you get the best for your money. DH & I stayed at AKL on our honeymoon (which was spectacular & very romantic...but is a deluxe resort). If you are up for an adventure I would suggest Jiko at AKL... incredible food & romantic setting. Plus you can see all the animals without having to pay the money to stay there. We also did Hoop Dee Doo Revue (Fort Wilderness Campground) and had an absolute blast. Plus beer & sangria is included in dinner. They also ask for people celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, and honeymoons and make a fuss over them.

I think the restaurants that take 2 credits are:
Cinderellas Royal Table
Artist Point
Jiko
California Grill
Aloha Dinner Show
Yachtsman Steakhouse
Hollywood Brown Derby

I'm sure I'm missing some...

A lesson I learned after we got home... if you are early morning people then snag an ADR at one of the character breakfasts in the park before they open. There is nothing like walking thru MK with no one else on main street!

Oh... and for Moderate resorts I personally think Port Orleans French Quarter looks the most "romantic" and have heard very good things about the scenery. I haven't stayed there yet, but its on my list.

hope that helps some!
