Hi i'm from P.A.!!!!

Boys here in our house too! I think she said the girls arrive at 11pm - so hopefully she's relaxing right now watching Illuminations!

I'm here, it is kind of quiet on the boards. Everyone was probably getting outside before the cold snap hits. We have to pick up my stepdaughter from skating at 9 p.m. then I think it is a night for a little relaxing and heading to bed. I am tired. I wonder how the cheering event is going?

I think Pam comes back tonight or tomorrow - wow will she be surprised at the wind & cold temps! I have to go out for a work meeting tonight & am DREADING it! It's freezing out there (and in here too!)

brrrrrrr! :cold: That's all I can say!! It sure did get cold & windy today!! It's enough to make you dream of Disney!! :goodvibes Oh, wait, I do that anyway!! :lmao:
I hope Pam gets in tomorrow so she doesn't have the wind during the plane's landing!

My parents got down to Disney yesterday and love how Disney took care of their luggage and got them to the hotel. They had some wind problem a little yesterday, but I am sure glad they flew out yesterday rather than today. They are staying at PO and had a great dinner with my DS. Today they were going to Epcot and they had not experienced Soarin before, so I am anxious to hear about their day. They needed a get away as they had some trips planned last year and dad had a few health problems and couldn't go, so this trip was really great for them plus they get to see their grandson too. The winds here several times felt like they were moving our house. I am thankful to have a roof over my head. Have a good evening. :cold:

When you talk with your parents, don't forget to tell them about the snow flurries today!! :rotfl:

That's great about your parent's trip, I hope it's magical for them! This wind reminds me of the night in Dec. when DS & I flew home from Disney & he was motion sick & terrified from the turbulence. It was windy just like tonight!

Any school delays anywhere else in the state yet? We have 11 in our area for tomorrow already!

Morning everybody!

Brrrrr.......

It's COLD out there!!!!

Schools were all on time today, but I felt so bad for the kids waiting for the bus.
Poor DS had to wear his lighter weight coat today too....our washing machine leaked and his coat got wet...had it in the dryer for 4 cycles, and it's still not dry:scared1:
on the upside....MAYBE he'll learn to hang up his coat now:headache:

Hope everyone stays warm and safe.....it is still pretty windy here, but not quite as bad as last night....it knocked the grill over, which weighs at least 250lbs.

I had to admit last night and today were cooold. I even wore a sweater to work. My parents have had a great trip and spent quality time with my son. They went to MK today as they haven't been there since I was a junior in high school in 1975. I was surprised as they have been to Disney since, but for whatever reason didn't get into MK. They fly home tomorrow and get to Harrisburg around 2:30. I sure hope any bad weather holds off. My dad is a good driver in bad weather and would probably take the turnpike, but I just hope it isn't an issue. Stay warm everyone. Sending a warming hug your way.

I'm glad they are having a good time!
Hope they have a safe trip home!
I'm sure when they get here they are going to want to turn right back around and head back to Orlando!

you said they are flying into Harrisburg...are there direct flights to Orlando from there, or do they have to make a connection somewhere???

I don't know if there are direct flights or not, they had to stop over at Washington. They were going to fly out of Allentown, but we could not get a good price and the flight times weren't good. I check Phila. for them and checked into an inexpensive cost to get them there, but the time the bus leaves to go down and their flight time it would have meant 3 hour delay sitting at Phila. and my dad isn't the most patient person. I offered the services of my sister and I to provide transportation, but that was a no go, so we went to Harrisburg and got a good rate, not quite as good as I could of from Phila. but the times and everything worked out well. :)

Just wanted to pop in and say hello :wave2: . I am so glad that you guys kept the 20º temps for me. It is quite welcome after the 80º sunshine that I enjoyed yesterday at DTD :scared1: :rotfl2:
I had an issue with my fridge swap so I needed to post so that it can be resolved for the next person.
Let me just say that after experiencing the whole cheerleader "thing" :cheer2: I am SOOO glad that I have boys.

Pam's back! Hey we need a trip report when you have time. I'm at work til 3 today if you need to get out & want to give me a rundown of WDW in person!

Sorry to hear your fridge swap didn't work. I never understood just how they were supposed to work - can you fill me in?

Every time I hit refresh on WFMZ.com there are 2 more school having early dismissal. My cousin who is on the Northumberland/Schuykill border said they didn't even have school today in anticipation of the storm, and it's been snowing steady there since 6:30am. It's coming.....

It has just started snowing here, but Parkland SD is dismissing HS and MS at 10:30 am. Who was I kidding that I would have peace and quiet to work, then do laundry, then go thru the 5 days of mail on my dining room table.

The way the fridge swap was "supposed" to work.....The person before me checked out the same day that I checked in. She was supposed to put my name and ressie number on the fridge. And she was supposed to leave me a voicemail with the claim check number from Bell Services. I had PM'd her a few days before I left, since she said she was going to have her laptop, to make sure she got the fridge. She didn't answer me. I was only getting water, and "adult beverages" which we could keep cold in the sink. When I checked in, I called Bell Services to see if there was a fridge with either me name or the name of the person before me. They did have 3 fridges, though. Nothing. I called the person before me, left a message. She returned my call 2 days later telling me that she forgot to pick up the fridge, so she wasn't sure how it was labeled. She said she would PM the person that was supposed to have it before her and let me know what info was on the fridge. I never did get a call back from her.
I think it is a good system, on paper. But this is yet another reason why I don't like staying at a value resort.

I will do a mini-trip report soon.

Nasty weather today, my parents only got into the Harrisburg airport at 5:15 and they were supposed to get in at 2:15. Dad said he would explain when they get home. They have to drive home in the weather which has now changed to sleet. I pray for a safe arrival soon.

You must be worried. Let us know when they get in. I got home from work around 4:30 & our roads were really bad, they hadn't plowed or treated them at all yet.

Yes, I will be relieved when they get home and call. I wanted to paste something from mynicespace.com, I know Princess Always told me what I need to do, but obviously I am not finding the right area or doing the right thing. Help.:confused3
