Hello!!!!
Congrats!!!! We are from Oregon and fosterparents! Hey don't feel bad about not taking the kiddos! We just got back from DW and we did take our 3 kids 1 Fosterson and left the other 4 ages 3, 4, 5 and 6 in respite care. It was nice just to have the older kids with us.
Just spoil yourselves! Take time to breath and be ready to want to take everyone back!!!lol We have taken bunches of foster kids to Disney and even gotten our DHS office involved by bringing in cans for the kids to turn in for spending $. It has been great to see thier faces and renewed our disney magic several times!
Have a great time!!!!!! Makes me think my hubbie and I should go for my B-day in March with no kiddos HUMMMMMMMM!

Nice to meet other foster parents (& from Oregon) on here!! I have really never thought about taking foster kids with us (does that sound bad?) We really don't have the money to do that. We have taken our now 7 yr old before his adoption was done & our now 3 yr old before her adoption was done....but we knew that they were our kids, without the legal paperwork. I'd be afraid to be responsible for other's kids on a trip like that.

You should take a birthday trip just for 2....you need the break as well!!

Wanted to say hi and introduce myself. I live in Kazakhstan right now (have for almost 8 years), but are Oregonians when we do go back. We call Beaverton home

We have 5 kids, 6-18 yrs. old, and will celebrate our 20th in June.

We LOVE, Disney too, and I was a CM way back when at DLR, but now we get to WDW a little more often since our headquarters are in Orlando, and because my family moved to Kentucky from So. Cal a few years back. Anyhow, it's great to "meet" you, and someday, when we move back permanently, we'll look you up

My oldest son lives in Tigard, & we travel to Doernbecher's Children's Hospital a few times a year...so we're in your old stomping grounds.
