Hi from a newbie

Hello! I just wanted to introduce myself before I start posting. My name is Carrie and I have been reading disboards off and on for a few years. I am a SAHM of 6 (ages 3-14) and have been married to my wonderful dh for 16+ years. We are big Disney fans! We live on the west coast and have been to DL 5 times in the last 6 years, but have never done DW. We are hoping to plan a trip for Jan 09 and that is why I am here. Trying to decide if it is worth the cost difference for our large family to hit the world instead of the land.

8gr8mouseketeers...I'm from the southwest of AZ orginally and have been to DL a few times, but now live just about 350 miles from WDW and l must tell you that WDW is better than DL! DL is charming....WDW is incredible. Have fun searching and finding tips

kevin...we love going in the winter time, Jan is our now favorite time to go to WDW, just the cooler weather makes it a fabulous Florida vacation! We've never stayed at a value, so I can't comment on those. We like moderates for our family of 3, but deluxes aren't to shabby either Hope you have a great trip!

Welcome to both of you. If DL is the only magical land that you have visited, you are in for a most wonderful shock. DW is enormous with more magical experiences than you can absorb in one trip. I have been to DW over thirty times and will be there again in 13 days. Have a great time when you go and hhave fun planning

Hi! You will find a wealth of information here! I found it shortly before our first trip and learned a lot. I am planning trip to and boy oh boy... I am really learning a lot more now! My main advice... use the search feature fo any question you have, it is a great way to start!

Hello out there. have been reading dis for awhile now but just signed up. love reading all the tips every has. My family will be a disney over thanksgiving.. me 36, dd 11 ds 9, poopy dado husband 40 not going he is a bah hum bug of a person and does not like crowds. so i am venturing out myself with my kids. I forgot to mention that my dad and mom are going 60's and my sister and her family so I won't be alone.
