I just don't know how much the BLT studio costs.
Thanks all for your answers!
Go to the top of this page, upper right ( below bird ) and click on
DVC Point Charts; this will take you to points charts for 2009 for all DVC
resorts. As other posters here have suggested you should do some
calculations to get an approximate idea of what various villa types at
resort(s) you are interested in staying at will cost you point-wise based
upon the number of nights you'd like to vacation and during what times
of year you usually would prefer to travel.
Keep in mind that the Home Resort you pick ( ie DVC Resort that your points are attached to ) allows you to have 4 month booking advantage at that particular resort over members who own at another DVC Resort so it is highly recommended that you purchase points for the resort you most want to stay at in order to have that booking advantage available to you.
Each resort also has annual Maintenance Fees that owner's pay - the cost is based upon the particular resort X number of points you own ( currently the price per point varies from $3.67 to more than $6 depending upon the resort ).
An in addition to banking a year's worth of points that you own into
the next year which would give you 2 years worth of points to use every 2nd year, members may also bank & borrow from next upcoming year's allotment of points as well which can give you up to 3 years worth of points to use every 3rd year ( a banked yr of pts + current yr pts + borrowed upcoming yr pt )
If you want to buy into DVC at less points then the minimum purchase amount required on a direct purchase through Disney then research buying via re-sale market where you will find contracts of various sizes less than 160 points and often at a good $ savings compared to Disney's prices.
The Timeshare Store is a popular re-sale agency and sponsors these boards and you can look over their re-sale listings by clicking their banner at top of page.
Good luck
