We joined the DVC 3 years ago, buying into the SSR. So far we are VERY pleased and we haven't even returned to Disney since our purchase. We have 300 points and so far we've used most of them through the Concierge Collection. This year we are sending our daughter on a Disney Cruise for her honeymoon. Just though I would stop in and say hi and introduce ourselves.

Great board and very informative.

Welcome aboard and watch out because Addonitis is VERY catching!! We've been members less than 2 years and have caught it twice already :rotfl:

Welcome.

There is actually a proven positive correlation betwen the amount of time spent on the Dis-Boards and the number of add-ons you will do.;)

Welcome Aboard!

You will learn a lot about DVC here. There are experts available on almost any question. One piece of advice right off the bat is that you get your best bang for the buck when you use your points at a DVC resort. There was just a post in the last week or so where a member opted to rent their points out (check out the rent/trade board) and pay cash for their DCL cruise. The cruise cost was in the $3,000 range. However, the same cruise would have cost over 600 points. By renting the points at $10 each, the member saved 300 points for another Disney trip.

Keep reading, there are lots of tips like this here.
