HHN worth It???

So If you have the S&S ticket and I herd they rope off a area where they hold you at,where Is that and how long are you there for and Is there anything to do while you wait?:confused3

Last year there was one by Finnegans and one in the ET vicinity (the one at Finngeans is always there...I don't know if the other one is...we used it only once or twice). Nothing to do unless you eat in Finngan's while waiting.

So I was reading on another thread that the sacareators try to really get you shook up,now not saying I may noy but I dont get all scared at movies. Will they contenue to get In your face, and try to get you scared. I can see my self getting annoyed If they contenue beyond that:rotfl2:.

It's really only about 45 mins and you'll find it doesn't take long for it to pass. There are lots of people chatting and milling about and of course...you can always get a drink at Finnegan's while you're waiting.

They tend to zero in on the ones that do react and get scared so it's doubtful they would follow you around if they can see that you're not. They tend to like the easy targets they can get a big reaction out of.

we are going to MNSSHP and really looking forward to that to,we do not do the local Haunted Houses there all put on by local radi stations and seem to be about getting teenagers In there more then anything else.So we do stay away from those.

You're taking a 16-year old boy to MNSSHP? Umm, OK. Well HHN will certainly be a different experience. Just a few things you may have missed.

Stay and Scream to most people means you go to the park during the day then stay for HHN. Not everybody does that. My wife and I, for instance, are AP holders so we stroll in about 30 minutes before closing then head to Finnegan's. Non-passholders usually get there a lot earlier. Bottom line is a long day, for some starting around 7am and going until after midnight, especially those who only have one day and night to get everything in. I would suggest plenty of rest the day before.

Since it is a late night make sure you are covered for transportation back to your hotel. Worse comes to worse you can go to the passenger dropoff area and catch a cab.

One last thing to consider: since you have been looking at the HHN threads you will have noticed that they are posting dates people plan on being here. They normally end up getting together in the S&S area. It's a good way to pass the time and get some last minute hints, especially if there are some regulars there. Be sure to check and see who will be there and say hello. That thread is:

So you're saying that just because you'd like to go your 16-year old is automatically going to be enthused about it? Lucky for you.

Take a look at the ads for HHN and MNSSHP and get an idea of the age groups they are geared to. If I tried to take my 16 year olds they would have run away from home and not come back until November. :rotfl:

Purseval,no I would not expect my DS to like anything of what I like unless he like It him self!. My Ds loves Disney,he actually would pefere togo to WDW then US Hands down, Its great your kids love US/HHN that much and there Is no shame In likeing HHN more then MNSSHP,but my DS and my self have diffrent value In taste. Have a great time with your family:goodvibes the most Imprtain thing Is to have the best time with your Family.:goodvibes

My kids are just as addicted to HHN then DW and I.They would tear down the house if we did'nt take them. And I started my DS at 13.We did the MNSSHP and Seaworlds Spookteckular when he was 12 and he totally was bored so we brought him to HHN the following year expecting to leave early-not.He loves it and makes us stay to closing.Needless to say he is very mature for his age.We would never brought him If we think he could'nt handle it.He understood the 1'st time its all A show. Now this is what he talks about all year long now.
My DDnow 18 still gets the heck scared out of her,but she loves it.

Then let him decide which one to go to. That's the nice thing about Orlando, there is something for everyone. Who knows, maybe he'll end up saving you $225 because he doesn't really want to go.

My kids are old enough to come to Orlando on their own if they want to go. Now we (my wife and I) come here by ourselves. Some kids never grow up :laughing::banana:

well its hard to know if its worth it..

Not worth it if it is extremely crowded, you paid the full price, and only to see 2 haunted houses and 1 show.

More worth it if its not super busy or you have a discounted price ticket

I'm actually hoping this year more people will want to ride Rockit and leave a little less people in lines for the houses..

We fly down for a weekend just for HHN every year since we moved from Orlando.

IMO, definitely worth it.

Ok I am going back and fourth on weather to dish out 225.00:scared1: for both of us me and my 16yo DS for the stay and scream package on HHN, plus transportation to and from POP. I have decided If we are going to go to the S&S,Its the only way to go,but from reading diffrent post about HHN from the the Houses only takeing about 10 min(not counting wait times to get In) to get through and the scare zones set up to scare the teenagers and the older kids I dont seem to see It worth paying out the extra Big Bucks for the night!. Now I like watching horror movies, the special effects and the work that goes Into them and It would be for that reason neat to go,I guess what I want Is some one to tell me that Its worth 100.00+ per person to go see and why? whats going to knock my socks off that I walk out that night saying wow that was worth It.

it is worth it for me.
this is my 10th year of flying down to orlando for hhn.

Universal is the master of horror movies.
they do an outstanding job for the hard ticket event.

if you are into horror flicks, then hhn would be a thrilling event to go to.
if you are not into the horror flicks, you might not be as interested in this event at UO.

i drop a bundle each year for hhn.
i do 4 nights of hhn in a row and book a private RIP tour.

all i can say is i am completely and totally addicted to hhn.

due to the popularity of hhn over the past 5 years, the place gets crowded.
you are going thru the houses conga style and it really doesn't take that long in doing each house.
the wait in line to get into the houses is lengthy.

if you buy the S $ S and the EPP, you will shorten the time for waits.
if you go on a peak night, you will have to 2:00 am before the park closes.
non peak nights will end the event at midnight.

if you go on a weekend night, you might get done with everything prior to closing.

from what i remember from the last few years, there are plenty of cabs available to take you back to your hotel without having a long wait for one.

come on and try hhn just once.
it will be an adventure for both of you.
