HHN site is up..........woo hoo

for some reason the Where are you thread i can't find.

on it i will put up the frapper map where you can list and have the push button to show your location, city/state only and then each that want to can list the dates they plan to attend HHN in a regular posting style. no one has to list their location for the push button map. they could only list their dates of attending hhn and if they want to meet others.

that way we can find other dis-ers that could make plans and meet up with each other. it will be easier for all of us to contact other posters that plan to attend hhn prior to going. also, no one would have to read back on these pages on this thread to find out who is going when.

wow, HHN meets .............wouldn't that be grand !!
.

That would be great stuff. My wife and I have been going on the RIP tours for about the past 5 years with mixed results. Some years we have friends that come down with us and other years it is her and I with strangers.

Be nice to get in a group with some people from this site since then you are almost guaranteed that you will be in a group with knowledgeable people who love HHN like we do.

Last year was on tour with newleyweds and the wife thought the entire tour should be oriented around what she wanted to do. Everyone was annoyed.

In addition, I like to drink a few beers during the tour and we have had some problems in the past being paired with teetollers (sp?).

Thanks a bunch and keep in touch.

for some reason the Where are you thread i can't find.

i listed a request on the something is nothing thread for someone over there to help me.

what i will do is make a new thread called maybe, HHN, where are you and when will you be there, type of title.

i have to wait for bubba's mom or anyone else to let me know how to set this map up first. when i get the info, i'm gonna do it.

Excellent idea Mac!!

Count us in!!

Our tour group last year had a guide who didn't really like HHN so she had us sprint through the scarezones. On top of that our group really didn't care about HHN, they only wanted to ride the Mummy over and over! We also rarely stopped for potty or drink breaks (only one break over the entire tour). It was so frustrating.

i found the frapper map site but am having a problem posting it in a thread.

i thought we could list our locations and then do the regular post in it for when we are going.

on the first page i will hold the first areas with an icon so i can go back and list dates people will attend hhn. that way we can connect with other UO homies

i sent a pm out to a fellow UO poster bubba's mom for some help in setting this up. i have to wait until i hear back from her.

if any of you know how i can get the map to post in a thread, let me know.
i am open for suggestions.

Hope we're counted as two of the 4 other UO disers for the 7th :)

This will be the fourth HHN for me and I've never thought about doing the RIP tour but after reading this thread, I might have to check it out this year. :thumbsup2

::yes:: ::yes::

the other two are jodi and mike
alexandnessa...you have probably seen that screen name in the UO forums

so far we have 5 of us.
it would be grand if we could take over the entire tour so no 250 times in a row on the mummy.........it's houses and scarezones all the way!!

i know of one more UO diser that is thinking of joining that date too.

Yes, count us in for the 7th! No Mummy 800x in a row ... it'll be all about HHN for us, and if we stick together as a group, we should be able to gear the tour towards HHN v rides. Anyone wanting to do Mummy/MIB, etc, over and over and over would do best to take a regular VIP tour during normal park hours, and I am not afraid to say that out loud. :)

The RIP Tour should be able to get you to all of the houses twice and still have time for Mummy and Hulk. Your guide will go where ya'll request. The last RIP we did was on my birthday with a group of Busch Gardens employees and the guide let me wear the miner's hat with the light. The thing that I don't like about the tour is that you end up fiddling around at the Backwater Bar until all show up. I'm a rope drop guy and my best HHN memories are of getting to the houses before the lines form. The best thing is the seats at Bill and Ted.

Ahh, you say that like it's a bad thing. I'm not sure, but that might be right up Mike's alley. Not mine. Just Mike's. ;)

MF, what if the majority of the group says they want to start the houses early like they way the stay and scream set up is done?

If you get a majority (7 out of 12?) your guide (have you requested a guide?) will likely work with you. Last time we had to wait for the Busch Garden folks to arrive. Another time a kid wondered off but our guide just left him. He caught up later.

MF, right now we have 5 definite and 1 maybe. that would be 5 or 6 as of today. once i get the hhn map up in a new thread, we could find others.

i have the name of the tour guide that is the best and will pm the other 2 couples of the name we need to request. i don't know if they have an opinion on a person but i am sure on the person that would be the best.

how many are in each hhn rip tour group do you know?
i thought it was more than 12 people.

Ok, well I am all booked at the rpr, Oct 24th-28th. Ok a few more questions, because when i called the universal vacation people they are all clueless too. Or maybe I am not explaining it right. Ok, so I have my tickets to the park tied into my room. The 2 free room ticket promo. Yes, I know hhn is a seperate event. But, what I dont understand is stay and scream versus frequent fear tix. As I will be in the parks up until hhn starts. I could take advantage of the reduced rates of the stay and scream. But, if i got the frequet fear pass I am entitled to going the 24,25, 26, 27, right? Stay and scream is only valid for one day? Again, someone please help. I am confused with this ticket stuff. And since I am going during the week. Do you all suggest the express for hhn? I went in 2005 on a fri, and it was not even worth it. But,then again a hurricane was passing through. :upsidedow :upsidedow

I thought the tour could be 13 but last time our's was only 10. If all are APH's you could do at least one house before you meet at the Backwater.

The frequent fear pass would only be valid on the 24 and 25. Fridays and Saturdays (26 and 27) are excluded from the frequent fear pass. The Stay and Scream pass is valid for one day only and has different prices depending on the day.

frequent fear pass is only valid for wed, thur, sundays.
non peak nights.

stay and scream is a holding place for those that have the hhn tickets for that date. the park is closed at 5:00 pm. all have to exit the park except those in the stay and scream sections. there should be 2 different s & s places each night.

if a person has a day ticket, they can buy the s & s hhn ticket at a discount.
most of the times a person is aleady in the park that day and the hhn s & s is called an "add on" ticket. it is cheaper than the full fare.
each night hhn happens there will be a stay and scream holding area.
you have to have a hhn for the date of hhn that you are in the park.

people buy the frequent fear pass so they can go mulitple times on the non peak nights. if you are going to only one or two hhn events on non peak nights, it will cost you more if you buy the ffpass. you are better off buying the stay and scream tix then.

you have only wed and thurs that are non peak nights, the other two are weekends. peak nights close at 2:00 am and those tickets cost more.

you can buy the s & s on the UO website.

one advantage of going early to the stay and scream sections are you do not have to stand in the long long line to get into the park. also, you do not go through the metal detectors if you are already in the park.

you have to have a day ticket in order to enter the park. you can't get around that by saying i have the s & s ticket and just get in. s & s is an add on meaning you are in the park prior to the event starting. and from there go to a designated section.

if you lose track of your time and do not get inside the park before it closes at 5:00, you can use the stay and scream ticket to enter when the park reopens to the general public. not everyone goes to the park in the hours prior and then to s & s. some use that ticket for regular admission to the hhn event.

let me know if you have other questions and i will try to help explain it better.

i have the thread up with the map but when clicking on the words,
HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS

go to post #4 and click on that link to place yourself on the map.
