mac, would you mind sending me any info you receive on the RIP tour? Mike and I will have to figure out what we're doing, but we're totally considering the RIP tour as well. It would be nice to do it on Sunday so we can do HHN at a relaxed pace that night as we're going over to pixie land on Monday to meet friends at EPCOT.
just don't scream in my eye like a little girl.
Phil from PA, another eastern PA Disser! There are a bunch of us within a county or 2 of each other. I used to work near Akron, in Rienholds, at the Post Office there. We have our own little gang here on the Dis![]()
I'm just north of Reading, about 10 miles or so. I drive into Reading to work everyday. Bubba's Mom is in Exeter, which is technically part of Reading, as it has a Reading Zipcode (I have to know my zipcodes, I work at the Post OfficeI could look it up, but I am too lazy right now. Where is Bernville? We live on the PA/NJ border, across the bridge from Lafayette College.
Not much of an update but Express Passes are now available through the main Universal Site .
The prices have also been changed.
Non Peak nights are $35.99
Peak nights are $65.99
I have a choice of Sat or Sun (1st weekend in October) which night should I choose and I would also like to know if I should buy the express pass and what exactly does the express pass get me??? Is it worth it? And one more thing do I have to buy right now or do I have some time before it gets sold out??
Excellent advice. This will be my fourth HHN and I agree that if you want to see everything in one night, get the EP and go on a non-peak night...if possible. We're not exactly experts on this but we have been going for a number of years now and we'd definitely recommend the Sunday night as opposed to the Saturday. Even Sunday nights have gotten pretty crowded in recent years but they're still nowhere near as packed as the peak nights (Fridays and Saturdays).
If you're only going for one night and want to see all the houses the Express Pass is almost a necessity. What it does is give you access to the express lines one time at each of the houses. I might get lynched for making a Disney comparison but HHN's Express lines are similar to Disney's Fastpass lines. We always get them and have never had to wait in line more than a couple minutes to get into a house when the regular lines have 60-90 minute wait times (on peak nights I've seen the wait times go up to 3 hours for a single house). Personally I think the pass is well worth the money.
There's no rush to get them. Many nights still have Express Passes on sale the day of the event.
I also played at the Larry Holmes Commodore Inn, which was in Phillipsburg NJ, how close is that to you??

I graduated from Ephrata and my first wife was from Adamstown and I lived their for a while. Went to PSU - Berks for 2 years.
What dates are you down this year? I am arriving Wed night Oct 10th and staying at RPR. On the 13th we leave RPR and I have a house rented in Kissimmee and my parents, brothers, nieces and nephews are coming down for the 13th thru the 20th. Maybe we can meet for a drink if you are still down. I will probably be doing the RIP tour on Friday the 12th. I need to call and get it set up.
I'll be sitting pool side Thursday the 11th at RPR, touring parks on Friday morning, poolside Friday afternoon, traditional pre HHN drinks and meal at Margaritaville then onward to terror.
This is our 9th straight year coming down for HHN. RPR and HHN are my relaxing time before I have to be the tour guide for the 13 other people in my family all week at WDW. Looking forward to Int. Wine & Food Festival at Epcot also.
Anybody want to team up for the RIP on Friday the 12?
It can be hit or miss on who you get in your group.

Hey - I'm here too......little further south and east than you all - think Philadelphia International Airport, but still within an hour of each other.
Jodie - are you northern NJ? Which bridge?
Disboad needs to create a map people could zoom in and find out who is within the area (Voluntary of Course) - maybe not to the street level but to county level. It would be interesting to see where all the little pushpins would be across the US and the world.
Mike, I leave Sat the 20th and we will be in our house in Kissimmee at that point. Keep me in mind though and let me know.
