Ok some question about Halloween Horror Nights I am hoping y'all can answer.

Will the rides be open?
Is it really scary? We'll have no kids but just want to know what to expect.
Is it worth it?
Crowds? We are looking to go around teh 15th of Oct on a weeknight

Thanks in advance.

This year's HHN is going to be held @ IOA, and most, if not all rides are going to be running...some may even be haunted. Is it scary? That kinda depends on what scares you. The scareactors had a field day last year with my wife and niece (ages 40 and 20), and if you add in the creepy atmosphere....low lighting, fog, and horror movie music, it can be scary. As to whether or not it's worth it, is up to you. If you enjoy scary movies, haunted houses, and things of that nature, you'll have a blast. We didn't learn about HHN until 2000, and we've been going ever since.

Hope this helps.

I expect Hulk, Dr. Doom, Spidey, DD, and JPRA to be open at the least, but I don't know for sure.

It depends on how sensitive the person is to how scary it is. If they are badly spooked on the streets, I wouldn't recommend taking them into to many houses, as this can be more intense.

I think it's worth it if you liked this kind of thing. It certainly is one of the best haunted events out there...

Crowds will be unpredictable this year due to the move to IOA. No one really knows how this will go over in respect to the previous USF events. I would think it will not be packed, but have a good crowd. Perhaps 60 min house waits at the most... but this is a guess.

Well, from what i can see, YES! all the rides will be open, but on the peak nights I would not be surprised if the coasters & Doom closed at midnight due to noise ordinances instead of 2am. I have not heard anything different as far as any other attractions closing. I would also not be surprised that since we do NOT sell children's tickets if some of the attractions in Suess will be closed. Who knows!

For the week that you were thinking of...HHN will tentatively be on Wed. Oct 16 (7pm - 12am), Thurs. Oct 17 (7pm - 12am), Fri. Oct 18 (7pm - 2am), Sat. Oct 19 (7pm - 2am), Sun. Oct 20 (7pm - 12am). NOTE: Oct 18/19 are PEAK nights and VERY busy - I wouldn't even go! I think your best bet would be to go on Wed the 16th to fully enjoy the park and it's HHN additions.

I would agree that I don't think they know what the attendance will be like this year, but I think the freshness of it might bring in a lot of people - especially the thrill rides at night.

Also, the price - make sure you find a friend that's an annual passholder so you get their rate to go to HHN. The prices have went up this year...so it might be a good idea! Overall though, I think HHN is one of the most unique experiences I've ever been through...I love seeing what they come up with each year...and of course the highlight is the Bill and Ted Show (who will show up this year?). So YES! it is worth it..in my humble opinon.

TTFN!
