HHN........look !

US did something else weird last year in addition to selling the discounted EPs in the holding pen. Even when the regular EPs were sold out, a couple of times we were able to buy individual EPs that we were able to use for our choice of houses. They weren't much more expensive and I liked them better than a regular EP that allows one visit to each house...it was much cooler to be able to repeat our faves if we wanted. Don't know if they'll do it again this year.

when i was with you on that sunday night, weren't those special passes only valid as of 10 pm?

i can remember a restriction was placed on them

Where are the EP prices, I can't seem to find them?
I wouldn't concern myself with the EP prices right now...there will be plenty of time to purchase once the website is updated.

Last year the EP's were either $29.99 or $69.99 depending on the night of the week you went. That will give you an idea of what to expect.

That's just me, I have an obssession with planning I think! :lmao:
$29.99 would be fab, fingers crossed!

They're not available for sale yet - only tickets listed are:
- General Admission (All Ages) $69.99

- Stay & Scream Sunday - Sunday/Thursday (All Ages) $29.99
- Stay & Scream Friday (All Ages) $49.99
- Stay & Scream Saturday (All Ages) $59.99

Just keep an eye out on the website :thumbsup2

The Express Plus pass you purchase is good once per attraction for Express access...the only attraction that does not take the EP's is the Pteranodon Flyers at IOA. The wait times are usually greatly reduced as compared to the stand-by line...it also depends on the season. If you're going at a busy time of year...the wait times will be 15-20 mins as opposed to 90 mins so it makes a huge difference.

We've found for HHN it's almost a must have, especially if you only have 1 night to see everything. Even on off peak nights (Sun & Thurs) waits in the regular line can be up to 120 min or more for some houses by about 9:00 pm. Peak nights it's even worse. With an express pass you'll probably have to wait 10-20 minutes in line.

A good idea is to do the stay and scream if you can, then you can have a head start over the HHN crowd coming into the park. You can get a few houses done before they open the gates (usually the sound stage houses) and can be off to some of the other houses with a minimal wait. Once the wait times start getting up there you can use your express pass to see the houses you missed and redo the ones you saw earlier in the evening.

Prices for express passes depend on what night you are going. I believe last year non peak nights were $30 and peak nights were $70 - on top of your HHN ticket.

i ALWAYS buy the express passes for the nights i am going to hhn.

i think of it like car insurance.
you never know when you truly will need it.

if you don't need it, just consider it an expense for the vacation.

sunday nights are now becoming peak nights based on the crowds i have seen the last 3 years. crowded up to the end of the night, especially when it is the night before columbus day.

after all i drop to do this vacation, i tell myself to go ahead and get the EPP for each night.

what a disappointment it would be if i did not have them and had to stand in line for 2 hours just to do a 3 minute house......

i know rides are included on the epp for hhn, but i do the rides in the daytime and spend the evenings on the houses and scare zones.....and the pizza at louie's.......:teeth:

Hi, first time poster.

I'm from the Uk and have booked a holiday to universal staying at the hard rock with my girlfriend in the middle of october.

As part of our holiday we've booked 7 day unlimited passes, does this mean we can get the discounted stay and scream tickets, or do we have to get the full price $69 ones?

I've emailed universal asking, but not heard anything yet.

Thanks in advance

Chris

Since you already have your regular admission tickets, you should be able to purchase the S & S add-on tickets at the reduced rate. I don't think all the prices are out yet but you have plenty of time to get them.

I can speak from experience on this one. My first visit to HHN two years ago I did not prepare properly and was totally shocked at the amount of people.

Got there about 7pm on a Sunday and didn't have an EP. We were only able to do 4 houses and didn't see any shows.

We waited 2+ hours for the Texas Chainsaw Massacre house.

But, honestly it was worth it. I loved that house and would wait 2+ hours for it again.

Hopefully I'll never have to wait like that though because I will always purchase the EP no matter what night I make it.

I bought a couple of those discounted Park tickets from Ticket Master and was wondering can these tickets be upgraded with the Stay and Scream option? I would love to pay the $29.99 instead of the full $69.99.

All this got me to thinking.....we are using our SB passes on this trip in October. We will be able to upgrade them for the $30 and then pay for EP right?

you can buy hhn tickets at the stay and scream price.
go to guest services to purchase them on the day you will be staying for hhn.

you will show your day ticket and that makes you eligible for buying the Add On ticket, S & S.

if you bought your ticket recently thru the website, call and talk to the tm by phone.

give them the confirmation number of your original sale.
the tm can then see you did buy the regular park tickets or pass and therefore eligible to buy the S & S in advance instead of waiting to the day you are at the park.

don't fret about the tickets being sold out.
express tickets can sell out but the hhn tickets usually don't depending on the dates you are going.

Now the endless waiting for updates begins! Seems like HHNVault is totally offline now. Anyone know what up with that? I'm dying for speculation!

i couldn't get the Vault either this morning.

maybe they are redoing the site and plan to upgrade with new 411??

Thanks, macraven.

I had e-mailed Universal too before you gave me the answer and this is what they said;

Thank you for contacting the Universal Online Ticket Store. Being that you’ve purchased your admissions tickets through Ticketmaster, you can only purchase the Stay n Scream upgrade at the theme park. When buying the Stay n Scream passes, you’ll need to have to show proof of your unused admissions ticket.

Where is Guest Service, is it outside the gates since they say I need to have proof of my unused ticket?
