HHN: Do you feel that it cuts your park time short?

Hi Universal peeps! We're planning a somewhat last minute trip to Universal/IOA in October. There are no HHN tickets available for our dates, which is no big deal since my daughter is a little young for this anyway. My question is, do you feel your park time is cut short when visiting during HHN season if you're not attending HHN? Also, I understand we can still visit IOA while HHN is still going on. Does this tend to make IOA packed on those nights? We have three full park days and I do plan on taking advantage of early entry. Thanks for any input or advice.

Park hours are cut back in October as it is.
7 is normal closing time

ioa still has regular park hours
Studios only cuts park hours by 2 so that is not much of park time hours lost due to the hard ticket event

In October you do not have large crowds normally and should be able to tour the parks fine

Yes and no.

I always want to do the parks after the sun goes down! On the other hand, I am definitely ready for a good dinner and a restful evening - I do NOT do HHN since I'm a scaredy cat!

It should not matter because you said that there are no HHN dates when you are visiting. The park closes at 5 during HHN nights. Unless I am missing something. o_O

depending on what dates in october you are going, it is dark at ioa as the sun goes down early so you will be able to see the park in the dark.
