HHN 22 Questions

Ok I have given it a lot of thought & i'm very close to signing up for the R.I.P. Tour for the first night of HHN 22(my birthday) but I have a few questions & concerns.

Money is a little tight but it's never stopped me before. $150 is pricey but the R.I.P. Tour does include every house & scarezone with front of the line access & Universal Express for the open attractions after the tour concludes. This sounds right up my alley as i'm not really all that excited about going by myself & this would give me a few people to experience the event for the first time with, that is a huge plus in my book as i'm kinda nervous & would feel more comfortable with a group, even if it were one of complete strangers. But everyone keeps telling me the price is worth it & this is the best way to do HHN if you only have one night(which I do) & want to hit everything(which I also want to do) I looked into Express passes but there is still the factor of being by myself.

Plus on top of that, there is the X Factor of it being the Media night & my birthday wish coming true & getting Penn & Teller to show up in person to promote their house. If i'm on a tour, I don't want to miss seeing & hopefully meeting them either so that puts a nice wrench into my plans.

I need advice on what to do as i'm sure I don't have much time to make my decision. If I go by myself, I definitely won't do Alice Cooper(due to my extreme fear of slithery reptilian creatures) & most likely won't have time to do all or many of the scarezones. Just P&T, B&T, maybe a ride or two, walk through a couple scarezones, buy my merch then leave the park. The R.I.P. would help accomplish it all & when i'm really nervous, I can hopefully arrange to be in the center of the group so i'm a little more "protected" in said houses.

Just a lot of questions since i'm not sure what to do, hoping some of you on this forum can help me out. TIA!

If it were me I would do the tour. You could have a look at the thread at the top of the page about who will be at HHN and when, maybe meet up with some of those folks if you don't do the tour or see if anyone wants to do it with you. :)

I'll be there opening night and I haven't done a tour in all the years I've gone. I'm sure it's fun but you're right...it's expensive. You can accomplish everything you want to do by using S & S to get a jump on the houses and purchasing an EP for that night. That's what I always do but don't worry about the rides during HHN...ride those during the day. I don't care for the shows so I skip them. I've been going on opening night for five or six years now and I've never even paid attention to the media that's around. I guess I'm not very observant. ;)

Metro - your honest opinion - we are going Sunday Oct. 7, our only night. We are doing S&S, got a 4:30 ressie at Finnegan's. Not planning on getting EPs - group of 8 and I'm buying the tickets, so adding $480 cost to the night isn't real appealing. Can we do all seven (guessing) houses without the EP?

if you take the rip tour, you will see all the houses, bill and teds and zones.

after the tour you can do the express line for rides, not houses, once your tour ends.

that is how it has been in the past unless it will be changed this year to include the houses.

hopefully someone will post if they are aware of any changes.

I think it will be a challenge but it can be done. You will need the entire evening to see everything though...you won't finish early. Make sure your group is ready to go when the S & S area is released.
