HHI - Right After Christmas

We're planning a 3 night trip to HHI checking in on Dec. 26th. It will be just me, DW and DD25 and we will be staying in a 2BR for the first time (woo-hoo). A couple of questions - what kind of restaurants will be open those few days after Christmas? Second question - we plan on driving into Savannah one day; any suggestions as to things to see and do while there? We've never stayed at HHI before, but wanted to do something different those days right after Christmas this year and since we're only 5 hours away from HHI, we thought we'd give it a try.

We stayed at that time a couple of years back, most of the restaurants were open.

Can't help on what to do in Savannah, didn't make it off HH, having far too much fun there

It took us our third trip to HH before we finally made a day trip to Savannah -- I agree with Vernon it is too much fun at HH. We did a walking tour of Savannah, not sure how the weather will be in December. We ate at Lady and Sons, and I highly recommend that. Make sure you make reservations. Savannah has a very good visitors center, so I would suggest starting there, that is what we did.
