I would call it a "mixed bag". On the pro side, we loved the view of the inlet/Broad Creek that was right outside. I didn't find parking to be too much of an issue. We were either under the lodge or out front. On the con side, you are further away from the pool/Tide Me Over, etc., but it's still not that bad of a walk.
Worst part was on me. I had knee surgery for a torn meniscus 3 weeks ago and forgot to request a first floor unit, so we had to truck up a second flight of stairs. Thankfully, I was recovered enough to where it wasn't unmanageable, but I should have requested first floor...
