Artist point was the first sit down “date” dinner dh and I had at wdw about maybe 20 years ago. It was delicious. We were very upset when they converted it to the character meal and have not gone there since!
Ah, yes-we had our 30th anniversary dinner there, complete with a special cake we'd ordered. I still remember how perfect the whole experience was. The manager greeted us and led us to our table, we were given an amuse bouche (which I'd heard of on cooking shows, but never had). Our 40th was at Jiko, and although we enjoyed it, we really miss Artist Point.

That’s a great photo! What a great memory. I wish I had a photo of us when we were there. We’ve never been to Jiko. We almost went one night a few years ago but we didn’t have reservations and the wait was long. We ended up having dinner in the bar there, Victoria Falls.

Does any member of this group have a somewhat recent copy of the DHIIR "Resort Dining Guide" and/or the "Resort Experience Guide" that they could post here?

Although I don't, I'm pretty sure I remember seeing the "Resort Dining Guide" available for download on the internet.

No See Ums. We spent 4 nights two weeks ago at DVC Vero Beach. We had a very good time. Enjoyed the resort. A few of us did get bit by the No See Ums. It made us wonder if Hilton Head has an issues with No See Ums at the beach, by the pool or in general on the Island.

Those bugs eating me are one of the reasons I rarely go to Vero. I own a contract there and love the resort but I'm one of the unlucky people that they are attracted to. They are active over 70 degrees. Mostly they bothered me at the Campfire, on the balcony and while outside walking a trail. I get eaten up while other members of my family are untouched.

We experienced these at VB, but not at HHI.

At VB last week I got bitten quite a few times on the balcony and anywhere the air was still. My wife was not noticing and thought I was making it up. This was due to me having the painful bite but no reaction or swelling. However after we got home we notice she had 4 or 5 bites on her ankle and they are painful and itchy. She has had this issue for like a week. We are leaving for HHI next week and are hoping to avoid no see ums

While there are bugs at HHI, they're nothing like reports out of VB. I lived in HHI and worked at the resort for a couple of years, and no see'ums were never an issue for me. A few people complained about them, but not many. There are some mosquitoes; however, some good bug spray keeps them at bay. You usually don't have to worry about either at the pool or on the beach, just if you spend time in nature, say, walking a nature trail on Pinckney Island. If you sit on your balcony for a long time, mostly around dusk, then I'd also wear a little bug spray to be safe.

I sure wish I knew how you know this. Searching for cash prices at this resort is the most frustrating thing to me.
My advice is to look at one date on the cash side within 7 months. (preferably one available on the points side)
If a room is available, you can click to see the prices for all of 25 and 26.
