HHI or SSR for 40th B-Day in June

We are debating HHI or SSR for Birthday celebration. We are doing a big disney trip this coming Fall so we thought maybe HH. Also lt may be less hot and crowed there, but disney's where the magic is? Any thoughts? Really just want pool, spa, good food and fun with the family!

It's pretty difficult to get HH in the summer unless you are an owner there. If you mean this coming June, as in next month, I think the resort is entirely booked. If you mean next June, you should call at the 7 month mark - and you still might have to get on a waiting list.

We own at Hilton Head and love it, but I think it depends on what type of vacation you want. When in the World, it's hard to stay away from all the things to do. Hilton Head is a great place to just chill. Pool is good (not quite as good as Vero) and the beach is beautiful (wider than Vero). We're headed to Hilton next June for my 50th because I want to just spend it in quiet time with the family rather than being busy all the time. Hope that helps a little.

We went to HHI for the first time over Spring Break and it was definitely a LOT different than WDW. It didn't have the "magic" of Disney for me, but it did offer a relaxing family vacation.

Keep in mind that there are not any Disney restaurants at HHI. There are GREAT restaurants around the resort. But only counter service there. If food is a big thing for you for the trip, you might want to think about what kind of places you like to eat.

Is there a spa at HHI? I don't remember seeing one. Maybe a non-Disney one that is close?
