HHI in April?

What is the weather like in early April at Hilton Head? Is it good for swimming in the pools and at the beach?

Weather is iffy, some years very hot, other years very chilly. Overall it's been hot/warm more often than cold (we've been there early April every year for the past 15 years or so due to golf tournament). The resort pools are heated, so no problem using them. As for the ocean, you will sometimes see some hearty souls in there (or kids who don't care about water temperature), but overall too cold to swim. Usually good weather for hanging out on the beach to play though. Also a great time of year for biking. HTH

We arrived at HHI on Sunday, April 1 and left Friday, April 6 of this year. The weather was gorgeous everyday except Friday. The weather dropped about 20 degrees and headed south from there. The island had a high of 33 degrees on Easter Sunday. The poor folks had cold weather that whole week.

We went the last week of April a couple of years ago and the weather was terrific too.

I guess we've been in favorable standing with the weather gods on our trips!
