HHI Golf summer rates

im looking for anyone who has played golf in HH during the summer...what are the rates....in myrtle beach the summer rates are the cheapest..i actually prefer to play in the afternoon...play at my pace.....

In general, afternoon rates are always lower at the golf courses. In general, the rates in the summer are the "average" rates. Mid-spring rates and early fall rates tend to be the highest, and January/February rates tend to be the lowest.

During the summer, many of the golf courses can be played in the afternoon for between $50 and $60. In the morning, the rates are typically in the $80-$120 for many of the courses. The courses in Bluffton, just off island, tend to be even cheaper at all times of the year as compared with those on island.

Just to use as a comparison, I just booked a trip for May 2008 and was also able to reserve a 3-round package of golf at Palmento Dunes. Each round, using the package, comes to $62 per person (one round on each of their courses)! I consider that a bargain. We are going May 10th - May 17th; hopefully beating the crowds for Memorial Day.

I'm going the 3rd week of April. Is Palmento Dunes the closest golf course? And would you suggest booking now this far in advance? I had planned on deciding when I was there which days we would golf and maybe book a tee time the day or so before. This is our first time to HH.
